This is my first time not only using Linen but a Duvet as well for my bed. I’ve been trying to get that hotel comfort and minimalistic vibe and I was super pleased as soon as I opened the package! First of all after reaching into the package and the first touch of this duvet cover I vocally let out a “OooooOooo!” Not only is it beautiful, but it’s amazingly pleasant on the skin! There was a bit of a clean breeze detergent smell on the cover, but it was pleasant to me. As my first duvet cover I will not lie - I didn’t realize the skill it takes to put these things on, haha. After finally defeating the user error skill gap I noticed that my comforter fit super well and stayed in place. I’m very happy with my purchase and highly recommend anyone that is hesitant about making this purchase to just go for it! You will NOT be disappointed. I really like the look and feel of linen, but it is usually really expensive. I took a chance on this set since it was so affordable, and am so happy that I did. It really is 100% linen: the texture and even that wonderful linen smell. First thing I did was wash it to make sure it would hold up, and line dried it outside. I did not notice any considerable shrinkage and no fraying fibers, and it felt even softer than straight out of the package. I got the natural color, which I would note appears to be dyed a light brownish color rather than raw linen, but still a perfect shade of khaki-tan. So I had the duvet delivered a few days ago and washed it on arrival. It felt a little rough right out of the package and after the first wash. Let me tell you - the shedding is unbelievable. I have washed and dried it 5 times already and the dryer filter is stuffed with fluffy lint every single time. The material has become much softer, but I don’t know what to think about it anymore. When does it end? Even my flannel sheets never shedded this much… I’ll keep it and return to update the review if there is any new development. Edit 1: It took 7 wash and dry cycles for the amount of lint to decrease. Do not wash it with other items until the lint is almost gone, or they too will be absolutely covered in fluff. ... show more

First of all, let me say I love linen everything, so when we got a King bed, I knew I wanted a linen duvet, comforter or spread. This duvet is true to color shown, well made and linen on both sides. That being said, we ended up sending this back in favor of the other one which was lined with Tercel. We thought it would be softer. Wrong decision, but that’s a different review. We should’ve kept this one. It does wrinkle like linen does, so if you don’t like that look like I do, don’t get it. It’s very elegant French country. ... show more

    • Discoloration spots appearing randomly after multiple washes
We loved this duvet cover at first but as we’ve washed it, we’ve noticed discoloration marks that almost look like bleach marks but we do not use bleach. It’s clear this is not true linen. Instead of softening with use and washes it almost becoming more scratchy. Would not recommend based on price and lack of longevity. ... show more
