I was thrilled to come across this product; it is such a clever idea! Living in Hawaii, we exclusively drink our coffee iced and have been putting it in the fridge overnight to cool it down for years. Sometimes we forget to do it at night, then you’re either drinking it hot, or watering it down trying to cool it quickly. So this product is a game changer. You do need to freeze it beforehand, so I’m not sure if this will replace our everyday routine or just be for emergencies or those days you decide you need an extra one in the afternoon. I love that the design of this chills the coffee without watering it down at all, so you still get your full coffee flavor and taste. It only holds a smaller size coffee (looks like between 8-12 oz), but one ‘freezing’ can still cool down 2-3 canisters full before needing to pop back in the freezer. It’s really easy to use. I opted for the Stainless Steel style and I find it attractive (more so than the plastic ones). All the parts are metal and feel really well constructed and durable. Holy! I am a New Englander through and through and need my iced coffee. This is THE way to make iced coffee at home. The set up is easy. Once frozen, pour the hot liquid in, swirl it around (their directions) or let it sit for 60-90 seconds. The hyperchiller gets it COLD without exposing it to liquid to water it down. The grip is wide. I wish it closed because I sometimes make a mess when I swirl it. I completely empty it once a week and give it a clean. It could theoretically go longer but I have 2 so I alternate cleaning weeks. Not only good for coffee but any hot beverage that you want to make cold.     • Great product with some design flaws.. - Fixable though

I have 4 of these now. Its great when they work, but, they do crack. Even with following the guidelines to the amount of water placed in. This issue winds up being how fast the water turns to ice, and if there is any ice still in the product when you 're-freeze' as the ice floats to the top inside and when it re-freezes it expands if there is water around it. That being said, I found a solution, not elegant, but works for all the ones that have cracked. Just take a quart ziplock bag and line the inside of the outer shell. Fill the bag with the 'right amount' of water and insert back the center column. Allow the ziplock back to overlap the outside threads and screw on the top. Even though the outside shell is cracked, the ziplock back keeps everything in tact. Not sure why they dont sell a 'liner' (unless I missed it), but this saves a lot of time and $$ ... show more

1) if you can’t wait about five minutes for an ice cold cup of coffee WITHOUT ADDING ICE don’t get this. 2) only holds 12 1/2 ounces. But 4$ 3) it has more parts then I thought it was going to but they’re not really a big pain. But it has you know a few parts four of them that you’ve got to maintain and make sure you don’t lose but they really don’t need to be put into a dishwasher you just wash them off and you put them back together again and you keep putting it into the freezer after you use it you dump it out you wash it out fill it up again put it in the freezer. But it has more parts and I was expecting a lot more. I was expecting it to have just one container and that’s it but it’s nothing like that depending on how hot the coffee is you put into it you can get 2 usages but again you’re going to wait between five and 10 minutes for the second one as well. So if you’re in a hurry and you want 24 ounces of coffee this is not what you get. This was not exactly what I was expecting when I got this. I understand the concept of it is you know pretty basic but I didn’t think it was gonna be like this I thought that it was gonna be a very large container and it’s not I also thought I was gonna be able to drink out of it and you can’t because it’s huge. It’s not meant to be drunk you have to pour into something else. But overall of course it works. The concept is simple there’s a ton of ice with a metal container and a coffee goes into it and as the ice melts the coffee gets colder. I’m not disappointed at all. Because I can wait that amount of time to get an iced coffee It works. I watched a video about it and you know it’s about 60 seconds or so they said to leave it in. To be completely honest here that’s not how it works. When I get iced coffee I don’t want any ice inside of it OK I want the coffee to be cold like it was in the refrigerator I don’t want the ice. ice waters down no matter what you get. You have to leave this there for about five minutes if you take it directly from your coffee pot and poured it. It only holds 12 1/2 ounces. But if you leave it there for five minutes or so it comes out ice cold. And depending on how hot it is you can get more than one usage out of it you may have to wait five or 10 minutes out. But if you want a cup of coffee that’s going to be cold without ice you’re not gonna get it in 60 seconds no matter what are you shaking around you know slowly in your head and swirly they said to do or to leave it standing straight you’re not gonna get it cold like that you’re still gonna have to put it over ice.
