My son was in a pretty bad motorbike accident resulting in an open wound on his arms, borderline needing stitches. Gauze and tape weren't cutting it, and with research found hydrocolloidal patches heal wonderfully. And they do!! After, of course, cleaning, and using an antibiotic cleanser, this patch stays on for a good 4 days+. this includes taking showers. My son is a diesel mechanic, and we needed something to protect his wound. I should add, he wore arm sleeves over his arms as well. These patches are wonderful!
