PROS This is the perfect size (12 oz) for a medium-sized bag or purse. It's as tall and wide as an iPhone 11. It's especially good for commuting or a busy schedule in which you have to go from place to place. It can even be good for long walks or hiking, if you plan out stops to refill it. It's comfortable to hold in your off hand as you walk, even when full as it doesn't carry too much liquid as to be too heavy. It is easy and comfortable to open and close (you just turn the top left or right). If you screw the cap on correctly, the open spout lines up with the Hydro Flask logo, which I think is a nice detail. I have used it for around 3 months now and it is still leakproof (when I put it in my bag I flip it upside down for a few seconds just to make sure, and it hasn't leaked yet). I really like the rain color I got because it is very pleasing to my eye. This sounds superficial, but when I put my water bottle or thermos on a desk, I will be looking at it the entire time I am sitting there, so it should look visually and aesthetically appealing. The design is simple and sleek, not flashy but also not cheap-looking. It's surprisingly easier to clean and take apart than expected (the instructions are simple and helpful). Basically there are four main components to the top lid + the metal thermos itself. The lid comes apart and you can wash the components with dish soap and leave to dry. I alternate between keeping water, tea, coffee, and even hot chocolate or ice cream in this, and it all works (yes, it can keep things cold as well as hot). If you wash it thoroughly, there is no aftertaste between switching drinks or food in it. Like other Hydro Flask products, it keeps the contents warm/cold very well, for hours. If you want to cool the internal contents down, just keep the lid off for about 5 minutes. CONS The only thing that deterred me was the price. But Hydro Flask's products are pretty well made and do not deteriorate over time (I have a Hydro Flask water bottle from about 10 years ago and still use it). I would rather have a $30 bottle that will last for 10 years rather than a $15 bottle that will last for 1 or less. The other only con is that it's not microwavable (obviously, since it is metal). But if you want to heat up something in it, just take it out and put it into a microwavable cup or bowl and then put it back in. I have done this with tea and coffee and while it's not terribly convenient, it's doable. Since the thermos keeps its contents warm/cold well, I only really have to do this if I forget to put the lid back on in trying to cool something down, and end up cooling it down too much. TL;DR - Good size, easy to fit in bag - Comfortable to use and hold - Easy to clean once you read instructions - Versatile in keeping different beverages (or even food) - Aesthetically appealing - Keeps contents warm/cold very well - Kind of expensive, but pretty much worth it for something that will last - Not microwavable, but just plan to put things in it at the temperature you want it to be ... show more

I want to like this as much as my other hydro flask products but sadly mine leaks out of the lid. The lid has 4 parts that come apart when cleaning. My leak comes out from where the upper and lower lids twist together. It has a gasket, but liquid escapes it when turning it to open/close the drinking opening. And when I tilt it to sip I get a drop or more coming out. Dribbles right down the front. A tissue under the edge won’t be enough after a few sips. I end up taking the lid off to drink. It does a nice job keeping liquids hot, but it requires a little more effort to clean. It's a bit challenging trying to figure out how to open it to clean it and close it again so hang on the instructions!
