Love the bottle, but does anyone really ever get these type of bottles completely clean? The bottle is dishwasher safe, but I just don't see how it gets clean unless you have a special pipe cleaner to get the straw and spout clean. Also, the rubber ring on the lid never really comes off. I bought a special tool to get it off and clean underneath. I believe the instructions say to soak in vinegar. As far as the actual use goes, my son uses this for preschool. He's 2, almost 3 years old, but can easily open it and drink. He likes orange/yellow color of the bottle. You have to make sure you close the spout the whole way or it will leak out on the floor. I'm not sure I would recommend this without supervision for this reason. We just use water in it so no big deal for us. The water stays cold. The bottle itself hasn't gotten dented yet either after 2 months of use (despite being used by a 2 yr old). ... show more

Keeps drinks cold, leak proof and no residue leaches into the drink itself from the stainless steel interior. Customer service was amazing too. I contacted Hydro Flask directly asking how I can purchase additional straws for this bottle (mine was ruined in the dishwasher) and they immediately sent me a replacement since it is covered under warranty without my asking. Very nice and sturdy bottle for your kids. When capped water doesn't spill. Used a lot during traveling and at school and still in good shape. Water stays cool for hours. Best thing is the plastic straw at the top, much better than rubber that tears easily.
