I mostly use this for water. I love being able to fill this in the morning with some ice and have totally ice cold water all day long. It is also excellent when working outside on hot days. The "beer growler" features are just as good for water as for beer. The handle is nice to have as a brace when drinking straight from the full (and heavy) bottle. The lid will absolutely never leak. It also has a slightly wider mouth than hydro flask's regular wide mouth, allowing bigger ice cubes to fit into the bottle. With those large cubes and hydro flask's insulation, water will stay ice cold in this bottle for a solid 24 hours. If staying hydrated is important to you, this is bottle is the ultimate hydration machine. Or, if you plan to use this for its intended purpose, it will pay for itself as you won't have to buy glass growlers with your beer. One of my all time favorite purchases ... show more

I picked this up to bring on snowmobile trips when I was riding with a group. I tested it last week, and was out for 5 1/2 hours and the coffee was still warm. The lid seals well. Typical Hydro flask quality.

Besides the premium price point, this a GREAT water bottle. It's super sturdy, carries a whole day's worth of water, and looks beautiful. However, considering the amount of knockoffs and competitors offering basically the same bottle at a cheaper price, I'd question the high price and wonder what their profit margin is on each bottle. Purchased the big 64 ounce sized beverage container. I put it in the refrigerator with the top off, with a few ice cubes, after 15 minutes then add my cold beverage. This little jug kept my drink cold all day! Highly recommend, I did a search of "best for keeping liquids cold." ... Hydroflask beat out all the competition ... and I agree 100%! ... show more

This checks all the boxes for a great growler, and it doubles as a water bottle. This is essentially a stainless steel keg, and will be treated as such: cleaned, rinsed, sanitized, and purged with CO2 between fillings. The biggest downside is watching bartenders dunk the sanitized and purged growler into their murky bucket of "sanitizer" before filling. This bucket is sitting below the taps, a strange baptism of pure, clean steel and mucky bucket water. However, this isn't the growlers fault. The growler is amazing. I intend to annoy bartenders for many years to come, bringing my growler to fill, and finding new ways to get them to not dunk it into their old bucket. ... show more
