I have had this mini-ex for about 6 months. It digs pretty well at idle if you are careful with the controls. The included thumb is nice but gets in the way when digging. It has diverter valves for accessories, but the thread and connector type is difficult to match with quick-connect fittings. It drives as slow as a turtle swimming in peanut butter; even at top speed, it is still slower than walking speed. The boom and arm cylinders are way too sensitive—it will shake the crap out of you. There is barely enough power or flow to run the hole auger; it stalls with the slightest amount of pressure.The carb float sticks open and floods the engine with fuel. I have cleaned it several times and finally replaced the bowl and float. It is difficult not to spill fuel when filling because of the awkward fill location, and you need to wipe the tank off before removing the gas cap because there is nothing stopping dirt from falling into the tank.If you do get this mini-ex, I would recommend passing on any aux hydraulic accessories, as there is just not enough power. Put a reducer on the boom and arm cylinders, and add a counterweight to help with the violent shaking. The gas tank is hard to reach with a full gas can, so get a funnel with a hose. Finally, I added an electronic fuel shutoff and an inline fuel filter to prevent the crankcase from filling with fuel again (it has a manual fuel shutoff, but it's difficult to get to). ... show more
