    • It works - a few tricks help handle potential issues

Update 08/01/2020: Another tip. This unit has little clips that attach from all sides (top, bottom, left and right). I've been using this sign on some properties for a couple of years and have noticed that over time wind will play havoc with those plastic clips. A high wind just puts too much stress on the plastic clips and and cause the whole sign to blow out of the frame. What I'm now doing is only clipping the top of the sign to the frame. An then I use a strip of black duct tape across the top to reinforce everything and keep the sun from degrading the clips. This way when the wind really blows hard the sign can move without putting a lot of stress on anything. It also settles back into position when the wind quits blowing. This helps to get more use out of the sign - particularly when you want to use it on multiple properties. Good luck. Original Review (Bought on Sept. 22, 2018): First I bought the 36" X 25" for sale sign. Came in a box and appears to be well constructed. Should display well on a property I'm selling. I bought 3" red numbers to display my phone number. Be aware that letters this large will require the full width of the sign to display them all (for a 10 digit number). By full width I mean even the edges which have red trim around them. This required a little work as described below. Some tricks to handle issues with this sign as delivered: If yours comes with anything in the white area to display your phone number (like a printed barcode) or you just want to get rid of some of the red around the box. Use a paper towel and some denatured alcohol with a little elbow grease. This will act like an eraser and get rid of anything printed on the sign you don't want. Just be careful not to take it too far. If yours comes with stickers (mine didn't). Try using a hair dryer to heat them up before attempting the big peel. Just be careful to not burn yourself. Warming the sticker with a hair dryer should loosen it up where it comes right off. Then use a little denatured alcohol to clean of any sticker residue. If yours comes missing a clip. Isn't a big deal because you can use a zip tie to replace it. ... show more
