This desk was really nice after all. Easy to put together. Hubby spent about 1 hr. putting together. Lights on the top are really what the picture shows. The lights are adjustable. There are several plugs on the top and will make it much easier to charge items. The drawers are cloth but don't be fooled. He was able to put everything away, cords were hidden, and it's so much neater to use. He says he's using it to type his book, and this desk was the right height. I had $150 in Amazon gift cards, so took a shot in the dark with this desk. The reviews were fine but you never know. I am VERY impressed. The assembly was fine, but not the simplest (the instructions were a little obscure sometimes). I am 6ft 2 and I always have a problem with desk height especially with my rudder pedals. I can finally put my chair up to its proper height and not hit my knees. There isn't much lateral movement, however. But that isn't something I needed The width is great for all of my toys. The multi-level and the led strip add a bonus. The drawers were shockingly deep, (enough to fit a laptop) which I didn't expect but was a welcome surprise. I have only had it a few days but I really like the sturdiness and quality. I highly recommend this desk. Make sure you know your drawer layout before putting them in as you won't get many opportunities to switch around. ... show more

for the amount i spent, i am very pleased with this product’s value. a quality furniture piece with an easy install. i installed it in about an hour or less. the instructions were clear, which made that process easy. i believe this desk will last as long as my son needs it for (2-4 years). it seems very durable and doesn’t wobble. the led light strip and the outlet that comes with it is pretty decent. i was nervous because i didn’t want the electrical components that came with it to feel cheap, but they aren’t at all. my favorite part is the actual build. great design, perfect size, and perfect height. i’m glad i measured the width of this space and found this desk to align perfectly with it. it’s light and easy to move around. perfect for a beginner. i do wish they made the drawers with a different material. the cloth drawers cheapen the desk. i can’t wait to keep building on my son’s first gaming/office space. ... show more

Sections and parts fit well when assembling. Solid design, holding up very well. No complaints. The cloth drawers with like cardboard reinforcing bottoms were my one concern when I ordered it, but they are heavier duty than I thought they would be; totally satisfied with them. I first bought the longer 55 inch length model of the same desk, it arrived damaged. After sending it back, I was concerned about the length of the box, if I got the same size replacement it might snap in the middle like the original. I'm sure the problem was not the desk but how it was handled. Anyway, looked at numerous other computer desks. I just couldn't find anything even at twice the price, which ticked all of the boxes for me in the price range I wanted to pay. Then I looked hard at this 47 inch length desk of the same type, which it turns out was perfect for my area in my bedroom, better than the 55 inch would have been. Looks stylish, plenty of usable space, and I my legs fit very comfortably between the drawers on the left and right. Put my computer monitor on the upper shelf, which the shelf is not deep but is deep enough to hold the monitor with the base of the monitor sticking out a bit in the back. No problem for me, it works. I plug in my 2 cell phones to the USB ports on the power strip to charge them and it works great, no chargers needed only short USB A to USB C cables connected directly to the phones. I inverted the top shelf when assembling the desk, so that the outlet strip was on the left not the right which was the default layout. It's been awhile but I think I just inverted the center support for the top shelf with no additional pilor hole to drill as I recall. It was easy. The one included feature I didn't like (or need) was the stick-on LED light strip. I tested it first and the dimming feature did not work well. Each press of the button on the LED Remote incrementally lowers the brightness. But after the first step of brightness reduction (there were about 4 steps total) the LEDs had a noticeable flicker which I do not like. At full strength I didn't notice a flicker. No problem for me, I didn't want the LED light strip anyway but just so you know. ... show more

I bought this desk July 2024, and still have it. It is easy to put together and the perfect size for me. My space wasn’t all that big that I have to work with and It has been with me through a move and it holding up well. For the price, I think this is a good quality desk. I was worried the drawers would be floppy and not hold up, but I am pleasantly surprised that I can fit a ton in them and they do not lose shape or falter. ... show more
