This is a fun movie of special interest to Ukrainian-Americans. While the story lightly addresses the question of sharing two cultures, what really carries the film are the music and the wonderful visuals, the latter reminiscent of the films of Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, etc...). Amazing musical! Whether you know anything about Ukrainian culture or are totally new to it, you will find it very enjoyable. It reminds me of The Grand Budapest Hotel movie. Great music played by DakhaBrakha and Dakh Daughters! Definitely worth watching!

How do you get to the English language version? It says Ukrainian English on the languages on the exterior of my DVD box, but the menu does not show any language options. In fact the menu does not show any options. Or subtitles?! How do you get to a subtitles menu?
