The picture is true to form in that the piece is not live edge, but cut to look like live edge. This is partly my fault for not realizing this. There is no character to this piece. It will not be a stand out piece of furniture for your room. This explains why the price is so good and is at no fault of the product itself. Each piece is different, so you might get a weird chunk of wood. You have to put the legs on it, so some cuts of wood may require more clever placement.

There were no knots in the wood or uneven pattern. We could have gone to the lumber yard and picked up scrap and made our own table. Not worth the money and the sellers picture is deceiving.

    • Have to make your own holes for the legs and the material looks like fake wood
Have to make your own holes in the wood top to put on the legs. Also, the wood is covered in some kind of protective coat making it looks less real.

We got a very nice slab of wood for our L-shaped sofa sectional - this coffee table is a perfect size and fit. There is a nice cut out on one side that adds interest (natural wood imperfections), and we love it. Most of the table will be useable to put drinks on, etc. It has a low sheen which is nice.
