This short rain boot is handcrafted from 28 parts, in the same form as the Hunter Original Tall. The calf length boot is 24cm high compared to 37.5cm on the original tall boot. The Hunter short boot is part of Hunter Original Core Concept - a seasonless collection of weatherproof icons in a rich color palette. Finally splurged on a pair of hunter boots for my birthday. No doubts about their authenticity. I'm usually an 8.5 wide and I ordered a 9 which fits perfectly with both thin and thick socks. The opening of the boot doesn't leave me any wiggle room around my calves but doesn't dig in. For reference, I'm 5'2" and have 16" calves. The navy blue is a true dark navy. Hunter boots are made of natural rubber and sometimes can end up with a white "bloom" on the rubber which is a natural process, not a defect of the boot. I believe hunter has products to help fix this problem and make your boots look brand new. Can't wait to wear them come Fall and rain! ... show more

Have used these boots for rain and hiking a short trail through a creek. Worked perfectly! I am normally a size 8.5 for closed toe shoes. That gives me a little extra room. Read that these can be a bit bigger so I went with size 8. They are perfect. I can even wear thick socks with no problem.
