Description

The hunter original tall wellington boot offers you a great wearing comfort and it will fit you very well. This boot is waterproof and weatherprooof and it is crafted from rubber. Whether you're trudging through your daily routine in wet conditions or enjoying an afternoon with the kids stomping around in the mud, this sleek boot from Hunter will keep your feet dry and protected. Its full rubber construction is lightweight, flexible, and easy to clean, while its sponge insole and treaded outsole offer comfy, sure footing. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); In 1856, Henry Lee Norris, an American entrepreneur, landed on Scottish soil in search of a home for his boot making company. Having acquired a block of buildings in Edinburgh, known as the Castle Silk Mills, the North British Rubber Company (which much later became known as Hunter Boot Ltd) was registered as a limited liability company in September 1856. In the beginning there were only four people working for the company, by 1875 the team had grown to 600 members of staff. Production of wellington boots was dramatically boosted with the advent of World War I, when the company was asked by the British government to construct a sturdy boot suitable for the conditions in flooded trenches. The mills ran day and night to produce immense quantities of these trench boots. More than a million pairs were made to cope with the Army's demands. The fashionable boot was now a functional necessity. Hunter's most famous welly, the original Green wellington, was made over 50 years ago in the winter of 1955. It was the first orthopedic boot that they made and was launched alongside the Royal Hunter--another boot that remains in Hunter's range today. Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for those who like to work hard and play hard--there's a great range of boots to suit welly wearers all over the world--from the Royal Family to festival-goers, working farmers and landed gentry alike. • Good fit and quality.
Size: 6 Color: Black
These boots were obtained at an excellent price and are a very good fit. Too late in the season (winter) to comment further.

  • Love them!!!
Fell in love as soon and I tried them on. They definitely do run big though. I'm a size 6 or 6 1/2 in regular shoes I bought a size 6 and it fits a little bit big but it's comfortable so I don't really notice. I could have went down to a size 5 and been perfect with regular socks. Just a tip though if you want to buy the hunter boot liners or thick socks I would probably stick with your normal size but if not I would size down a hole size. ... show more

  • Love them!
They came on time in their original box and packaging. They fit as expected, they are a little loose enough room for the boot socks. They are original and I love them!

  • Beware if you are size 5
I am the girl who has small feet. I wear size 4 woman. Since size 4 is very hard to find, I typically buy size 5 woman. And because of my small feet, I know very well about children sizes, because I can fit bid kids size 3.5. I ordered a woman size 5, but received a big kid size 4 boots with someone else's return label on it. Apparently, this seller is not honest with their products and wants to sell big kid shoes as woman shoes (the circumference of the boots are different). The big kid Hunters only sell for $75 at department stores. ... show more

Everyone mentioned it runs big. I purchased the fleece liner and it fits perfect! I love them and already had to wear them in the rain.

  • Difficult to take the shoes off
I just got mine in the mail. I like the non-glossy look, and the navy color is lovely, very matte and looks almost like dark grey. The calf area is wider than what I was expecting and distended out of shape from the way it was packed and shipped (the boots arrived in an old worn-out Hunter box without adequate stuffing inside the shoes). I fit in fine in 15' calf size, and this one is like 16'+. Worst of all, they are not easy to take off. Would like to return except that I need rain boots and haven't found anything better than these with all their issues. ... show more

  • Runs a little on the smaller side
I bought these for my daughter and after reading some of the previous reviews that they run big I bought a size 6 (she's a 6 1/2). Although they do fit, I should have bought the size 7 as the calves were snugger than I expected. I would say that if you are a 1/2 size purchase the next size up not down as they don't run a big as others may lead on. ... show more
