Description

From the makers of Hunt A Killer, comes another thrilling murder investigation that can be played in just one sitting. This all-in-one board game for adults contains a murder mystery party in a box. The Hunt a Killer team of true-crime masterminds have meticulously created a living, breathing world where players become part of the story. With this authentic investigation kit, you’ll feel like you’re solving a real-life, high-stakes fatal crime. In Hunt a Killer: Dead Below Deck, one morning in the middle of a luxury Caribbean cruise, the charter, William Bonnys, wakes up hungover and heads to the sauna. There, he finds the body of Rachel Veinson, the yacht's stewardess. Captain Javier Rackhams attends to the scene and initially declares the incident an accident. Nevertheless, he still diverts course to Nassau, where the official authorities look over the scene, coming to the same conclusion. But was it truly an accident or were darker forces at play? Tap into your inner Sherlock Holmes and use forensic evidence to complete a timeline of the crime and eliminate suspects based on means, motive, and opportunity. Each suspect has a backstory, distinct handwriting, and other unique details that will help eliminate them from your list until only one remains. Discover the code to a locked tin, translate Morse code, interpret walkie-talkie messages, decipher a cryptic glyph language, and review maps of the ocean and the yacht itself. Realistic evidence and documents guide players through a challenging and immersive experience filled with unexpected twists and turns. Designed for 1-5 players, you can play it solo, as a couples game, or at your next murder mystery game night. In this unique unsolved case files game anyone can become an ace detective. Perfect as true crime gifts for those who love a good mystery, Hunt a Killer: Dead Below Deck will have everyone hooked. • Great realistic fantastic fun game
Style: Lakeside Slaughter
Fantastic game. Very realistic. We got it for our kids and another couple. Decided to try another game in this series. It says 90 min. Took the four of us 5 hours. And two bottles of wine. Had a blast. I think the next one will be quicker since we learned some processes. A great family game for a lazy day, or rainy or snowy day. ... show more

  • Fun Mystery with nice quality evidence
Style: Dead Below Deck
My sister and I regularly tackle mysteries from Hunt A Killer, and this one was especially fun. The evidence included in this set was high quality and truly enhanced the overall experience. We especially enjoyed working through the materials together and piecing everything together as a team. Although we did need to go online to track down some additional evidence, we were able to quickly find what we needed to identify the killer. This mystery featured several coded messages that took us longer than usual to solve, but that only made it more engaging and satisfying. In the end, it turned into a fun afternoon adventure that we thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves immersive, hands-on mysteries! ... show more

  • Always a wonderful experience!
Style: Wealth of Murder
Just finished this game and wow, what a blast! 🕵️♀️ These mysteries never disappoint and always keep me guessing. I love how immersive they make the experience, truly like being a detective! 🧐 It's so satisfying to piece together all the clues and finally solve the case. Definitely my go-to for a fun night in. Can't wait for the next one! 🤩 ... show more

  • Fun murder mystery but code breaking was much more difficult than I expected.
Style: Death at the Dive Bar Game
Fun little puzzle. However,it could use some improvements. First, in order to solve the murder, there some code breaking is required. I eventually got it, after 3 days, but it was much more difficult than I would have expected for a first-time code breaker, which is probably most customers. Second, there are a lot of loose ends and details going on in the puzzle. I went to great lengths trying to tie them all up (can't say which ones, otherwise could be a spoiler). However, when opening the "solution" envelope, it gave the answer and a little bit of information, but many of the tantalizing loose ends that I tied up were not addressed/confirmed in the solution. With these modifications, it would get 5 stars. ... show more

Style: Girl in the Well
This was such a thrill. It is on a easier level for anyone wanting to start out or test their Detective skills. I played with a friend and I love it. We even had a notebook and took notes. Loved it! You get an autopsy report, evidence, crime scene photos, Didn't know what to expect going in but I enjoyed every minute of it. ... show more

  • Fun game for date night
Style: Death at the Dive Bar Game
My wife loves murder mysteries so I ordered us this for a date night. The game itself is well done. The clues and process of working thru everything is fun and engaging. Some of the clues are a little tricky so we had to get some hints. But all in all, it was worth it and we had fun.

  • Fun, challenging, highly detailed
Style: Wealth of Murder
This was a fun evening activity! Well worth the price for over two hours of entertainment. Very detailed. Regarding the murder: The Who and why are easy but the how was totally lost on us-we had so much fun though! I like that it’s more free flowing and open, you read the intro letter and then just go at it examining clues. This is even an activity that you can do alone. After you’re done and you solve it, it can be passed along to someone else, too! So it is reusable but the storyline and solution remain the same. ... show more

This was an advanced form of Clue. Entertaining, but not much of a challenge.
