When Katie Dunn, an employee at a seaside amusement park, turns up dead inside a popular ride, her boyfriend quickly becomes the prime suspect. The suspect’s mother reaches out in hopes of clearing his name, but even she has to admit that the evidence against her son looks pretty bad. Could someone else have had a score to settle with Katie, or is the boyfriend as guilty as he looks? Behind the boardwalk’s picturesque facade lies a seedy underworld full of criminal minds and fatal crimes, where everyone’s got something to hide. To figure out who killed Katie, players must reconstruct her path along the boardwalk on the day she died, and work out what shocking secret she discovered that ultimately led to her death. Uncovering the crimes perpetrated by the other boardwalk employees will lead you to the identity of Katie’s true killer. In this unsolved case files game, get ready for some old-fashioned detective work. Sort through testimonials, create timelines, pore over forensic evidence and confirm alibis to crack the case and catch the killer. Work individually or together to crack the codes. Hunt A Killer: Body On The Boardwalk is packed with challenging puzzles and ciphers fit for a mastermind. Every puzzle unlocks new details about the events and characters that were involved in Katie’s murder. Remember, every detail matters. Each suspect has a personal backstory, distinct handwriting, and other specific details that will help eliminate them from the suspect list as you search for the true killer. With a 2 out of 5 difficulty rating, players can solve this entire investigation in one sitting, making it perfect for a mystery party, family gathering, or new player introduction. If the gameplay ever gets too difficult, don't worry. Each case has a dedicated page that offers non-spoiler hints, tips and solutions.

  • Wow
Style: R.I.P at the Rodeo
Great mystery. It’s definitely suitable for most ages, I’d say about 14+. I’m 17 and this only took me an hour to solve it all. I got the Rip at the rodeo. The design is great, it’s easy to get a start at where you want to explore first. Readability was fairly good, may be difficult for others but online towards the bottom of the hints, you can find them online version of all the stuff given inside the box. The lock took me 25 minutes to get open without looking at the online files, which includes reading everything. Online files were fairly easy to solve. Make sure to look all over every item as some hints and information may be somewhere else. But overall this is a really good mystery to solve! ... show more

  • Wonderful Murder Mystery Game!
Style: Girl in the Well
We love these Hunt a Killer games! Wonderful games for a group! The difficulty levels on the box are accurate. There are more suspects and more evidence to sort through as the difficulty levels increase. It usually takes us about 2 hours to solve the medium difficulty level games. If you read all of the evidence provided, you should be able to solve the murder, which is very satisfying. The game creators always do an excellent job with these games! We hope the creators keep making new games to solve! Creative and entertaining. Highly recommended! ... show more

Great date night fun. Kept us entertained for a couple hours and was a fun change of pace. One time play so there’s that but when you’re done pass it along to a friend and let them enjoy.

  • Best game experience I've had in years!!!
Style: R.I.P at the Rodeo
I LOVE murder mysteries! I had been looking for a place in my area to take my partner to attend a murder mystery dinner but they were kind of expensive, and my partner wasn't sure they'd enjoy the experience. SO I found the Hunt a Killer brand here on Amazon and decided to surprise them with an at home version, I was not disappointed. We made a wonderful dinner and delved into this box. The story was interesting with a variety of colorful characters! We both whittled it down to a suspect but we didn't agree so we checked both with the solution checker and I was right! (They were too in a way but I had the correct entry.) One thing to note is to check your solution go to the Hawkspringsrodeo web page and hit the Contact button - it's not on the riprodeo web page. This confused my partner but it all worked out. We enjoyed our time and are planning on trying Death Below Deck in a few months for another at home date night The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star review is that the lock for Patches clown makeup box was busted. We had the combination right but had to cut the lock to feel confident we had the right suspect. ... show more

  • Love these!
Style: Murder at the Talent Show
I FREAKING love these! Hun A Killer is great fun! If you are a true crime junkie and love to try and solve crimes along with the detectives on TV, well this is the "game" for you. The original price was $29.99, which I think is high, I found on here for $22-ish. I bought it. The company that puts these out rate them for difficulty, so it's easy to gage your level or how much you want to take on. This is good for 1 person or many. I did this alone while my husband was at work. It took me longer than the time they same it should take, but I think it was because I was very thorough. I didn't want to submit my answer and have it be wrong. The clues given are durable and real-life like. I had fun and felt like I was a true detective! ... show more

  • Creative and Challenging Murder Mystery
Style: Body on the Boardwalk
We absolutely love Hunt a Killer murder mysteries, and murder mysteries have quickly become one of our favorite date night activities! The creators really outdid themselves with this one—there’s so much creativity packed into the evidence and story, making it an immersive experience from start to finish. The game strikes the perfect balance between solvable and challenging. It’s tough enough to keep you thinking, but rewarding once you piece everything together. We’ve played it with just the two of us, but it’s also great for a larger group—everyone can get involved and share their theories. If you’re into murder mystery games or just looking for a fun, engaging way to spend an evening, I highly recommend Body on the Boardwalk. It’s a unique and enjoyable experience that keeps you coming back for more! It also make for a great gift! ... show more

  • Good quality
Style: Death at the Dive Bar Game
5 of us older ladies tried to play this, but we all kept talking over each other and couldn't seem to get the clues aligned so after about an hour, we gave up and played cards instead. Five people was really too many.
