  • Fun Mystery with nice quality evidence
Style: Dead Below Deck
My sister and I regularly tackle mysteries from Hunt A Killer, and this one was especially fun. The evidence included in this set was high quality and truly enhanced the overall experience. We especially enjoyed working through the materials together and piecing everything together as a team. Although we did need to go online to track down some additional evidence, we were able to quickly find what we needed to identify the killer. This mystery featured several coded messages that took us longer than usual to solve, but that only made it more engaging and satisfying. In the end, it turned into a fun afternoon adventure that we thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves immersive, hands-on mysteries! ... show more

  • Fun, challenging, highly detailed
Style: Wealth of Murder
This was a fun evening activity! Well worth the price for over two hours of entertainment. Very detailed. Regarding the murder: The Who and why are easy but the how was totally lost on us-we had so much fun though! I like that it’s more free flowing and open, you read the intro letter and then just go at it examining clues. This is even an activity that you can do alone. After you’re done and you solve it, it can be passed along to someone else, too! So it is reusable but the storyline and solution remain the same. ... show more

  • Fun!
Style: Death at the Dive Bar Game
Got this for date night with my husband. Arrived very quickly and perfect condition. And the game itself was very fun to play! It took us almost 2 hours to solve it, and we had a great time doing it. We both agreed it was definitely good for 2 players, and if either of us had done it alone, it would have been way more difficult. It reminded us of Escape Rooms we've been to, which we love doing. The clues are fair, and not super easy to figure out. The only down side is, it's a one-and-done game. But we plan on passing it to friends for them to have fun solving it as well! I'd definitely recommend getting it. ... show more

  • Fun murder mystery but code breaking was much more difficult than I expected.
Style: Death at the Dive Bar Game
Fun little puzzle. However,it could use some improvements. First, in order to solve the murder, there some code breaking is required. I eventually got it, after 3 days, but it was much more difficult than I would have expected for a first-time code breaker, which is probably most customers. Second, there are a lot of loose ends and details going on in the puzzle. I went to great lengths trying to tie them all up (can't say which ones, otherwise could be a spoiler). However, when opening the "solution" envelope, it gave the answer and a little bit of information, but many of the tantalizing loose ends that I tied up were not addressed/confirmed in the solution. With these modifications, it would get 5 stars. ... show more

  • Nice date night at home!
Style: Dead on The Vine
These have become a favorite stay in date night activity for my husband and I - we have purchased a couple of the Hunt A Killer boxes, and each has been fun and interesting enough to keep us coming back. Difficulty is whatever you’d like it to be, as you can purchase different levels. They are a great gift idea and worth the money in our opinion. ... show more

  • Great mystery with laugh out loud moments
Style: Wealth of Murder
I wish I could give a higher score. This game is one of the best I have played. The mystery is great fun to solve with laugh out loud moments when you imagine the characters (=suspects) as they are writing down the sequence of events. The material is all top quality and every item is expertly chosen to help solve the mystery. This game feels like a favorite book, where even once you unravel the mystery and know who the culprit is you will still go back to reread your favorite parts and comb through it all a second time. ... show more

  • Great Game!
Style: Body On The Boardwalk
Great game, Great quality, For the game being so cheap i didn't really expect much from it. My Sister and I did this together the other night and it says it takes about 45-60 minutes to complete but it took us a bit longer. It had a-lot of contents in it as the evidence and it was all super interesting and clear to read it kept your attention and wasn't super hard but it was definitely one of the harder ones ive done. But i would definitely buy more of this brand is fun and definitely worth it! ... show more

  • Fun but not the best from this brand.
Style: Wicker Ridge
It was a fun game and the pacing was good. Hunt A Killer is one of my favorite brands of mystery games but I think this collaboration fell a little short.
