  • Amazing Murder Mystery Experience
Style: Death at the Dive Bar Game
I had such a fun time playing Death at the Dive Bar! The game is super immersive and well put together it really feels like you’re a real detective solving a crime. The clues are detailed, the story is engaging, and it kept me thinking the entire time. I love how everything is based on real investigation-style logic instead of just random puzzles Perfect for a night in with friends or even solo if you love true crime! Definitely recommend it if you’re into mystery, suspense, and solving cases. I’ll definitely be getting more from Hunt A Killer ... show more

  • Family Fun with Teens
Style: R.I.P at the Rodeo
This is the second Hunt a Killer game my family has played in the past two months; we really enjoy the puzzle aspects and working together to crack the aspects of the case. This was rated two diamonds out of five for difficulty, and took about 90 minutes. The first one was also rated two diamonds but took us longer - once you've got the hang of the paperwork format, it goes a little faster. The box says for 14+ and I would agree with that; the coroner's report was graphic and there are mild sexual references. Just be aware this is not the party experience where you dress up as characters in the story - this game involves a lot of quiet reading then comparing notes and impressions. If that sounds fun to you, you'll enjoy it! ... show more

  • Fun, Everyone was engaged.
Style: R.I.P at the Rodeo
Our first Hunt a Killer was RIP at the Rodeo, and the whole family enjoyed it. There were enough parts we could pass everything around and everyone had something to play with, and everyone was able to give some input into the solution. The website was a bit picky on getting in the password, so getting past our fist clue was a bit tough, but all in all the best of the genra we played so far, and will buy more Hunt a Killer. ... show more

  • Love these!
Style: Murder at the Talent Show
I FREAKING love these! Hun A Killer is great fun! If you are a true crime junkie and love to try and solve crimes along with the detectives on TV, well this is the "game" for you. The original price was $29.99, which I think is high, I found on here for $22-ish. I bought it. The company that puts these out rate them for difficulty, so it's easy to gage your level or how much you want to take on. This is good for 1 person or many. I did this alone while my husband was at work. It took me longer than the time they same it should take, but I think it was because I was very thorough. I didn't want to submit my answer and have it be wrong. The clues given are durable and real-life like. I had fun and felt like I was a true detective! ... show more

  • Wonderful Murder Mystery Game!
Style: Girl in the Well
We love these Hunt a Killer games! Wonderful games for a group! The difficulty levels on the box are accurate. There are more suspects and more evidence to sort through as the difficulty levels increase. It usually takes us about 2 hours to solve the medium difficulty level games. If you read all of the evidence provided, you should be able to solve the murder, which is very satisfying. The game creators always do an excellent job with these games! We hope the creators keep making new games to solve! Creative and entertaining. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Creative and Challenging Murder Mystery
Style: Body on the Boardwalk
We absolutely love Hunt a Killer murder mysteries, and murder mysteries have quickly become one of our favorite date night activities! The creators really outdid themselves with this one—there’s so much creativity packed into the evidence and story, making it an immersive experience from start to finish. The game strikes the perfect balance between solvable and challenging. It’s tough enough to keep you thinking, but rewarding once you piece everything together. We’ve played it with just the two of us, but it’s also great for a larger group—everyone can get involved and share their theories. If you’re into murder mystery games or just looking for a fun, engaging way to spend an evening, I highly recommend Body on the Boardwalk. It’s a unique and enjoyable experience that keeps you coming back for more! It also make for a great gift! ... show more

  • Are you a novice or pro detective?
Style: Murder at the Motel
Me and my gf got this to try. We usually use another brand but decided this one looked cooler. If you are superior detectives I’d say this is a great choice. But if you are novices like us, it was very hard. There isn’t any direction to start from, you just kinda go into it blind and figure it out. The materials are really cool and make the game more enjoyable. I just wish there was a little bit of guidance ... show more
