  • Be wary!
Color: Espresso/White
Warning: obviously I didn’t check before purchasing but please note this item is non returnable. Mine arrived with damage to the wood and it is poorly put together. I’m very disappointed. It looks a mess and I wanted to return it and would have ordered another in exchange but this is when I was informed it was an item you can’t return. Be warned when you buy this as you take a risk if the item is damaged as you won’t be able to return it. ... show more

  • Fabric slings fell apart within two months
Color: Espresso/White
The size and design of the slings was perfect for keeping our preschoolers' library books off the floor. We were happy until about a month in, when the bottom sling developed a big hole right along the seam. We had only put 3-4 picture books into it, but I figured maybe the seam just wasn't sewn well. But then books started disappearing, and I realized the top sling had a gaping hole that books just dropped through. Then the next one down, which doesn't even have a bottom seam, developed a big, stringy hole. Right now the sling is basically useless. Very disappointed. Update: found a temporary fix: white duct tape. The material is too stiff and flimsy to sew (every single bottom seam had frayed) so I put duct tape sling the bottom of each level where the seam used to be, both inside and outside. This fabric is so flimsy. Update #2: Duct tape didn't stick to this fabric. Had to get rid of it. I don't have time to see my own sling to for the frame. Such a bummer. I really liked the concept, but their cheap materials made this useless. ... show more

  • Small but awesome
Color: Natural Wood/Primary
My kids have a ton of books. That being said, when this arrived I was completely disappointed. I decided to give it a shot anyway and immediately changed my mind upon filling it! It actually holds a surprising number of books! (All of their favorites!) My youngest toddler is incredibly destructive and I was a little worried she'd try to climb on it, but thus far, she's realized its purpose and had left it at that! (Small victories!) Totally happy with it! ... show more

  • The shelf Quality is really cheap.... ...
Color: Espresso/White
The shelf Quality is really cheap....They claim the shelf pockets are made out of fabric... but honestly it is made out of plastic. The shelf is a lot smaller then I acpected. They suggest this shelf for a toddlers up to 3. My son is 9 Months and taller then the shelf. I do love how he is able to access books easy considering it’s his same night. Consequently, I don’t expect this product to last long . I’m already looking for a new book case. I would not suggest this to a friend. ... show more

  • Children's Book Rack
Color: Natural Wood/Primary
It is absolutely perfect for my 7 1/2 month old daughter's hardback books. As you can see from the photo, I turned around for 15 seconds too long, it is also sturdy. Easy to put together too. I recommend this for toddlers.

  • **Review with update**
Color: Espresso/White
This shelf is exactly as described. I’m only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. 1. The book shelf would be more useful if it were larger. 2. The material used to hold the books is very thin. That being said, I am still able to store approximately 30 board books in it. The material on mine has not ripped as some Previous reviewers have complained of. We use ours quite a bit so I’m not sure why theirs are ripping and put has not. Overall, the app ran even is very attractive and matches the Tot Tutors toy shelves perfectly making for a nice set. Even though I wish the size was larger, it is very user friendly for my one and two year olds. I posted a picture with my 13 month old to show the actual size of the shelf. I would recommend this is you don’t keep a ton of books out at a time and are looking for somethin reasonably priced because this is a great deal in my opinion. Update: like some other reviewers stated the cloth shelves quickly fell apart and we had to throtlw this away. Total disappointment! It only lasted about 2 months. ... show more

  • A lot of flaws
Color: Natural Wood/Primary
The first time we had this shelf delivered, one of the rods was damaged such that the screws could not be screwed in. We returned it and ordered a replacement. I've assembled the replacement and it had one screw with a piece of debris stuck in the Philips head notches but I was eventually able to dislodge that and complete assembly. My 18 month old son enjoyed helping me assemble it and understood what it was for an how it worked when I showed him how to put the books on. It's easy for him to reach all the pockets. The frame seems sturdy enough. I doubt the fabric pockets will last very long but I don't believe it will be too difficult to use the original as a template to sew a replacement in the future. The cons- There is a gap between the top bar and the wall. My son inmediately began dropping books into the gap where they were lost behind the shelf. Once he realized where they had gone, he attempted to get behind it, tipping the heavy, book-laden shelf over. It could easily fall on him if he pulls it from the front. I doubt it would be more than a scare and a bump on the head but it is going to be annoying to have to attach brackets to secure it to the wall, and then later deal with it being attached to the wall when retrieving the lost books behind it. It doesn't hold many books. I'm not honestly that surprised by this but I will have to install another larger shelf nearby and I supposed we will keep his current favorites on this one where he can easily get them himself. Smaller books will not be visible/easy to find because of the depths of the pockets. I'll probably put small bins nearby for these. Think books roughly 5"x5" or smaller. If you look in the picture you'll see some smaller book xamples propped or sitting on the floor in front of the shelf. If I think it's necessary I'll update this review after some more use. ... show more
