I love using poppers, theyre one of my favorite things to fish with. And Arbogast is a great popper brand, i had my last popper for 10+ years and was still getting hits. I lost my whole tacklebox in a move and had to do some replacing, this was for sure at the top of my "need now" list. Specifically this popper is not my favorite tho. I really like the green/yellow pattern, the 2in is the perfect size, but where it looses out is the hooks are both on the body. I prefer one set of hooks in the tail, its been my experience that bass go for the tail. I had 2 bass release the first night i used this, managed to bring in the other 2. Now i will admit this is partially my fault, i didnt look to closely at pictures, i was more concerned about getting it the same day so i could get an evening fish in. But the other popper i bought has the tail hooks and that one has been my go to for fishing. This one has been relagated to back up. ... show more

I love the Hula Popper, Gets the job done in slop/heavy cover/Lily pads especially if you don’t have a hollow bodied frog to use , but the only negative I have to say is the hooks rust out pretty quickly

the hulapopper is a classic. this is a well designed hulapopper. fresh lure (this sounds weird but the old ones have sticky skirts... this skirt didnt stick to itself). sharp hooks. loud "GULP" when you pop it. 10/10 will buy again when I lose this one.
