These are more lightweight and less durable (I think) than a normal pair of glasses you'd purchase with a prescription, but I'm amazed and happy that this is an option! By the end of the day, sometimes my vision is too blurry to see to drive or watch tv without squinting. These are just to have on hand in those situations, so I didn't want to purchase expensive glasses. HOWEVER, for people that need them daily and just can't swing paying hundreds of dollars right now, this will help you be able to see to function! I'm sure they are more fragile than a more expensive pair, but they can certainly help if you can't afford glasses or just need an occasional bit of help. I had purchased a pair of -0.50 prior, and sometimes that's all I need, but that was a different unisex pair, and the frame is too big. If I'm just sitting in one spot watching tv or driving, it will work, but I wouldn't wear them around in public, because they are too loose. If you are woman or smaller person, I'd look for a women's pair like this one. This one fits pretty nicely, because it's not huge. Many years ago, I worked for an opthalmologist and later for two different optometrists--all who dispensed their own glasses. I'm excited this is an option as are "readers." These are the opposite of readers, so don't buy them if that's what you want!! If you don't know your prescription, you can take your current glasses to an optical shop where they can read it for you, or you could call and ask for a copy of your last prescription even if it's too old to fill. You will be looking for the "sphere or spherical" specifications, not the cylinder or axis (that's for astigmatism correction and this won't help that). I'd look for the closest numbers to that. This is probably a godsend for those that are doing without.

Perfect for when you can’t afford expensive prescription glasses. The frames are smaller on the face than expected, but fine. Vision through the lens is clear. Definitely not as durable as designer frames, but do the trick if they are temporary, an extra, or you wear contacts 90% of the time.

honestly, forget the eye doctor at this point. I know my prescription and I have been ready for a new glasses style, but I’m not ready for the cost associated with getting new glasses through the traditional route. For the cost, the quality is incredible. I got -2.75 and these are literally clearer and cleaner looking in my old glasses. These were supposed to just be a spare, but I decided I’m going to use them as my primary glasses… They are plastic and not reinforced with metal so they’re a bit flimsy but again, you cannot beat the quality for cost here. I would say the viewing quality is slightly lower than proper prescription lenses but negligible difference. The style is actually really cute. If you’re looking for a spare pair or even a cheap replacement i highly recommend these.

I bought this frame for my father few months back. He has been wearing it. However, the frame is very light and low quality and the lenses keep falling off the frame. The seller won’t replace return or refund. I wouldn’t buy this frame again.

A year after I lost my glasses and just went around nearly blind, not wanting to make an appointment for an eye exam and just accepting being blind, I finally tried to find "prescription glasses" on Amazon and 2 days after i placed my order, they arrived and I can see just fine. I know my prescription is near -3.5 and this made things so easy. Thank you for letting me see again.
