I'm not sure why clothing manufacturers do this now, but it is next to impossible to find socks without the sewn in rigid heal. If your foot doesn't align perfectly with the sock, then it ends up feeling uncomfortable. Definitely soft, but I don't see myself wearing them for anything more than a warm sock backup.

Very thick, soft HUGSWEET Thermal Socks I received a 4 pack of thermal socks for men. I wear a women's 9.5. The description states fits 5-13 men's. They fit nice although the band around the top of the sock is only about 1 inch wide. I would prefer the band to be wider. Nothing on the box or socks indicate the fabric composition. I can only go by the description that state 70% Acrylic, 28% Polyester, 2% Rubber. The inside of the sock is very soft although over time I wonder if will compress down or mat and lose some softness. There is a seam across the top of the toes that did not interfere with comfort. They do feel like they will be warm. Temperatures are still hot so I can't give them a real test yet. I plan on using them as slipper socks mostly around the house. I do prefer socks have arch support, these do not. I will update after extended use as far as if the socks retain their shape and softness after wearing and how they hold up in the wash.

Hmmm. I like these socks, but I'm not quite sold on them. I live in a city in which the winter temperatures can drop to -40F, and as my apartment is poorly insulated it can get mighty chilly at night. I usually wear thermal socks to keep my toes from turning to blocks of ice for about six months of the year. I expected these socks to be, if anything, a little too warm, with the soft, fluffy internal layer sealing in the heat. They're not, though. What they are is intensely *comfortable*. The internal lining is silky smooth, making these socks a joy to wear, but while they're perfectly warm (more than warm enough to feel toasty warm in a well heated home) they don't seem any more warming than any other slightly thick sock. All in all I like them, but if I'm shopping for true thermal socks that will keep me warm in crazy low temperatures I'll look elsewhere.

These socks are extremely comfortable and nice and warm on my feet. However, I have a size 10.5 foot and while these fit perfectly fine, they only just barely come above my ankle and even then they have a tendency to slip down a bit. Perfectly fine with normal shoes or mid-ankle boots, but anything bigger and you may find yourself having to pull your socks up time and again. Layering long underwear over the top will probably help with that issue or at least help you avoid unpleasant exposure to the cold.

These thermal socks are thick, warm and very comfortable on the feet. They don't have the overly bulky feel you sometimes get from the thick seams, the description talks about a comfort toe seam design and I guess it does work. The overall sock is soft but also seems durable from the thick build. It's the tail end of summer so I can't really test how it truly handles the subzero temperatures, I'll just say it feels similar to wearing thermal underwear for your feet. My only knock against these is the one size fits all sizing. Unless your foot size is close to the larger end of the fits-all sizing there will be slacks in the shoe and on a long hike that can get annoying and even cause chafing, no matter how soft it is. [Update] I'm going to have to eat my words on this, despite my initial impressions the issues I noted really haven't been a problem at all after having worn them around the house for some time. My wife in particular is super happy with them. I've upgraded my review to 5 stars. At under $8 per pair it's a pretty good value, since we live in a pretty climate area and the only times we need these would be for skiing or playing in the snow with kids, I expect these will last pretty much forever.

I wear a US size 8.5 men's shoe. It's often difficult for me to find socks that fit. "One size fits most" socks are often size 6-12, which means that men with smaller feet end up with the heel of the sock around their ankle. Not so with these. These socks fit me perfectly! Of course, this means if YOU have large feet, these may not be the socks for you. I love how warm these socks are. The fuzz inside is very comfortable. Note: These socks are thick. They will make your shoes fit tighter. So, be prepared to wear these socks with your looser fitting shoes, and not with pointy-toed Western boots or something. You'll regret that. These are great winter socks. So glad I ordered them!
