Oddly enough, this sock does not work for me. The ankle is fantastic. Wish that ankle was on the bamboo socks. That would be perfect. These however, are super small on the foot. You can feel the compression after wearing for an hour or so. For me, this makes me feel like I have vertigo. I become dizzy, lightheaded, cannot keep my footing, until I remove them, then I feel better. Had to switch back to my bamboo ones as these gave me that reaction. Saw someone post a review with this similar issue. Now I wish I paid attention and listened but I guess now I know for sure. Update on my review: The light grey are better fitting. I am trying them out for a second time and the foot part appears realistic in size almost ok for an adult foot. The dark grey however are terrible way too small could fit a toddler and makes me get a vertigo feeling. Light grey I cancelled return for now as I feel fine its been 4 hours so far wearing at work. We will see. Update: The fit depends on the color. The dark grey and beige are tighter on ankle, the light grey and brown are perfect!! My new order of light grey just received today also has a more relaxed fit on the foot too!! Definitely the best!! These are way better than the bamboo by far but some of the colors are way way way too small would fit a toddler. Just have to order a bunch and perform trial and error to find the right ones. These are very comfortable socks. The padded soles are great for tender feet. As a diabetic, I look for products that help keep my feet comfortable and free of blisters or sores. The sock tops do not bind or rub. Great socks all around!

I purchased these to use as sleep socks and they work really well for that. The only issue I've found is that they actually run a bit small. They are supposed to fit sizes 6 - 9; I wear an 8.5 shoe and these just barely fit. Next time, I will purchase the next available size larger. Okay I have searched a long time for these perfect socks. They are soft cotton, comfy, perfect fit, breathable, and most importantly... not tight. They are a loose fit but not so much that they fall down. They gently enclose my feet in a pleasant and happy hug! Love them!

I'm a diabetic and sometimes have swollen feet and ankles. I have tried many different socks and found these ankle socks are the first that have not cut off circulation. The stretch is amazing but bounces right back to normal. Washes well . Looks like they shrunk but no they stretch right back on the foot ! Love these socks and will order more . ... show more

That is a six inch ruler laying on the sock, I can't imagine how it would fit an 8.5 size foot with edema. The cuff does stretch 6". The material is smooth, the sole not very stretchy to me and has tighter arch support bands, for lack of a better word. Pretty color, probably ok for smaller feet.

After my first order, I was so thrilled with the quality & perfect light fitting stretch of these socks, I ordered another 6 pairs. They stay up, but do not squeeze the ankle or reduce blood flow.
