This blanket was purchased about 2 years ago for an airplane trip as a 'back-up-blanket'. Well, that was 2014 and my babe was less than a year old. Now at 3, this is her FAVORITE blanket. She doesn't carry it everywhere, but does sleep with it and lounges with it (and it HAS to be in bed with her or the "threenager" really emerges!). That being said, with minimal use for the first 6 months, then high use for the last 16 months, this blanket has held up very well. There was one tear between the patches that we had to fix. The softness reduces slightly and gets a little matted since it is washed weekly and sometimes more for spills, but it is still very soft. I bought the pink for my baby girl that is due November 2019. I washed gentle cycle with dreft, no shedding of any kind. It is soft and I love the coloring and pattern it has. I also dried on gentle cycle again no shedding. It is def a little bigger than most baby blankets, but I love that about it.

I bought this for my now 9 month old, and she loves it. She likes to smoosh her face in it. In fact, when she gets cranky or makes a determined effort to grab something she's not supposed to, such as my glasses or some yummy yummy paper, I grab some blanket and put it in her field of view, at which time smooshing commences. Great distraction device! The only issue I had was those little plastic thingies that make it look nice and orderly on the hanger. Ok, product presentation, I get it. In this case, there were A Lot of them, over a dozen. Not only did they all have to come out, but I had to keep track of the pieces, lest she picks one up and gobbles it while crawling around. It was annoying enough to take off a star. However awesome the product presentation is, however awesome the product is, remember, it is going to be used on babies, and most parents aren't going to want to take the time to mess with those things.
