I use these when I take the plate out of my 3D printer. It keeps my fingers from touching the plate. they keep the heat out and easy to use. the flexibility of my fingers is good to be able to move freely and the thickness is good, They are not too heavy and easy to wash if dirty.

Short version - these gloves are amazing, but you must use hot pads also when removing pans and trays from a hot oven. You can use them on their own when taking things out of warmers. Highly recommended!! Long version - I'm a cafeteria worker in a school. I have been using these gloves for a year and they have made a huge positive difference. We are not allowed to use elbow or wrist length oven gloves for sanitary reasons. Only small square hot pads are permitted. I was constantly burning the backs of my hands and lower wrists taking hot pans and trays out of the ovens. These gloves are not insulated enough to use on their own, but with the hot pads, they are fantastic!! No more burns on the backs of my hands or wrists. They are great for taking things out of the warmers when you can't find hot pads. The warmers only get up to 220 degrees. My coworkers borrow them all the time when we are serving hot meals, we just wear a pair of disposable non latex gloves over them. ... show more
