I bought these because I kept burning myself while cooking and it’s impossible to cook with an oven mitt or even flip something in the oven. I haven’t washed these yet, using them today for the first time and can say that they definitely withstand the heat. I even touched inside the oven while it’s on 425 and I didn’t feel the heat, but my only complaint is that they are too big. I wish they were smaller and fit a bit better.

These gloves work great for working with hot sublimated items such as mugs, tumblers and coasters. I used my Cricut mug press to sublimate a 20 oz tumbler and the gloves held up well for turning and removing the tumbler while it was very hot.

Short version - these gloves are amazing, but you must use hot pads also when removing pans and trays from a hot oven. You can use them on their own when taking things out of warmers. Highly recommended!! Long version - I'm a cafeteria worker in a school. I have been using these gloves for a year and they have made a huge positive difference. We are not allowed to use elbow or wrist length oven gloves for sanitary reasons. Only small square hot pads are permitted. I was constantly burning the backs of my hands and lower wrists taking hot pans and trays out of the ovens. These gloves are not insulated enough to use on their own, but with the hot pads, they are fantastic!! No more burns on the backs of my hands or wrists. They are great for taking things out of the warmers when you can't find hot pads. The warmers only get up to 220 degrees. My coworkers borrow them all the time when we are serving hot meals, we just wear a pair of disposable non latex gloves over them.
