I purchased this for display of collectibles and incorporated some stacked books, a couple plants, candles, and our initial placed in center. I think it looks great! Seasonally I can change it up which makes it fresh. The quality is excellent. Only thing I must mention is the color is much more “orange toned” than the brown/grayish toned wood that I expected. Although it is def rustic looking, which I love. Luckily it matched some other wood pieces in the same room, so I was able to keep it. I think the colors in the pictures are definitely off. Maybe I misjudged the color options listed, and I do recall having trouble deciphering between the two options offered and chose what I thought was best. I’m happy all in all in my case, but be careful if you don’t like that rustic orange/brown colored wood. ;-) ... show more

I love that all the parts and tools are in individual packages and labeled so there was no need to try to figure out if I had the right size screw or bolt. Would it have been quicker if I had another person helping me, Yes. But if I (a 67F) can do it, you can certainly do it too. I'm using these as book shelves (bought 2 and placed next to each other). Very sturdy, but at 85" tall I did anchor them to the wall. No issues so far when filled with books. The only negative is that the wood shelves have a strong vanish smell out of the box. We bought this to be an actual book shelf and to carry multiple heavy books. We were worried that it would not be sturdy but we were proven wrong. It feels solid, is easily carrying the weight of the books . We were able to lean it slightly back for stability because we don't want to drill holes to attach it into the wall. Yay apartment living. But for lighter loads the 5 shelf setup should not even need the lean it's quite stable. It was assembled single handedly by my husband, the room is filled with a pleasant smell of wood varnish and the shelf itself looks gorgeous. So far we are very happy with the purchase. ... show more
