I initially fell in love with the Sanela Green-Gray Velvet curtains at IKEA. The only issue was they don’t make them longer than 98 inches. So I went on the hunt for a similar color, longer length. I found some at West Elm that is very popular called Cotton Velvet-Dark Olive. However, the price was very expensive. I decided to try looking around a bit more before giving in and dropping all that money. Alas, I found these curtains on Amazon. Many other reviews compared the West Elm’s Dark Olive curtains to the HPD in Hunter Green. While looking through pictures of customer reviews, the color Denver Taupe really caught my eye. But I continued to order the Hunter Green since I spent months looking for the Sanela/West Elm dupe. Shipping was fast, and the Hunter Green curtains were beautiful in person. These are heavy, luxurious curtains. No smell. You may need to steam them a little before hanging up to let the wrinkles fall. Another option is to hang in the bathroom and start a steamy shower. The Hunter Green are absolute dupes for Sanela and West Elm. In fact the HPD feels more durable than the ones I saw in store at West Elm. Unfortunately, when hanging the curtains, I realized the green didn’t go with my aesthetic after all. I was worried about the blankets I would use during the Holidays which would clash with green. So I returned the Hunter Green and ordered the Denver Taupe instead and was very pleased. I’ll def be using this same company for future purchases because of the amazing, luxurious quality. The color title is hugely misleading. It is NOT "Hunter Green" but THE MOST BEAUTIFUL mossy, taupe, mushroomy brownish, olive color! My poor photography skills do not do it justice! Beautiful weighted bottoms. Quality stitching. GENEROUSLY sized back tabs and rod pockets suitable for heavier thicker wooden curtain rods. I ordered two more as to get a fuller look on my windows. They are room darkening. Up close, you will see that these are not like real cotton velvet, but the nap is so very fine and dense you must be up close and personal to see. The big wow factor is the color! It is a natural olivine found in nature. Romantic, woodsy, mossy, soft, and sophisticated. I trusted the other posters and I am so glad I did. The height of my windows would lend itself to 85", but I went with the longer 96" based on other buyers noting how soft and easily the fabric "pooled" and "puddled" to the floor. I am glad I went with the extra length as it is just the look I wanted for my bedroom. 🙂 If you are looking for soft, nature inspired color tones.....this is your curtain at 1/3 the cost of Pottery Barn or West Elm! ♡♡♡ ... show more

Purchased the Velvet Heritage Plush Grommet curtains in Gallery Taupe. They are soft as butter to the touch and hang beautifully. They are not black out which is fine for the living room. I wanted a darker color for BR in the Grommet style, but HPD didn't have any darker colors in that style. So, I purchased the Heritage Plush Velvet Curtains in "Cabernet." The two styles are very different in feel and in weight. Disappointed with the Heritage Plush Velvet backing as it feels like a heavy canvas, and the velvet does not feel soft like the grommet style. I have bought and returned at least 30 curtains and these are a hands down winner. I have them in various colors around the home. They are very heavy so make sure your rod is securely attached to the wall. They are blackout curtains and work quite well.
