Just as many other reviews the installed hard drive count was different than the description, however the amount of storage was actually larger. I would have preferred the 4 smaller drives but completely OK with the configuration that I received. With that said, I installed OpenSUSE Tumbleweed as a XEN server to consolidate (and get rid of older PCs). It runs XEN With 7 Guests like a champ! the Virtual machines that I created were straight from the individual PCS Hard drives. I swear some of the virtual machines run better than they did on their own hardware!!! Very Pleased with this purchase, thinking about getting a second one. Anyone considering purchasing one of these units I highly recommend picking one of them up, worth every penny!!!!

I'm using this DL360 to replace the previous VMware host that died in my "lab." It booted right up with no errors, the VMware software has been installed and configured, and it's now hosting six VMs - a mix of Linux and Windows servers. I even received an email from them to confirm that I didn't need them to install an OS. Thanks StrongIT! Joe

After looking at the reconditioned servers on Amazon for months, the price on this one made me take the gamble and I'm glad I did. The positive -unbelievably clean inside and out -performance to cost ratio is a winner. Currently running two full time virtual machines with VMware 6.7 one of which handles routing, VPN connections, content filtering, etc w/ pfsense. The other handles misc server applications, file sharing and some other things. More VM's to come but as of now it doesn't even break a sweat. -comes with a decent spec that should be suitable for most uses but has plenty of room for upgrades should the need arise. Added a 2.5Gbs nic for my current wan connection so far. The bad. -while not a deal breaker at all, item description tends to be misleading to an extent mainly regarding storage. Its been mentioned in other reviews but as stated its not a deal breaker as the trend I've noticed is if / when the storage option isn't as stated, there will be some compensation. I personally recieved a second power supply which I'm OK with. Overall I would buy another without hesitation should the need arise. The only reason I only have 4 stars is the description as there are some that would have a need for the configuration listed but for the price there's still no real room for complaints.

Had a few issues. The server came with Windows Server 2016 installed. I called the seller's office and he very quickly gave me the password to it and it immediately worked. I also had to reset the server's firmware to default settings. Minor inconveniences I won't let sway me. Additionally, it did not come with 4 x 146GB HDD. It came with 2 x 300GB HDD. After contacting them with a resolution I felt was fair, they agreed and were able to appropriately compensate me - which I greatly appreciate. Also, the processors inside are actually 2 x X5660 2.8GHz, which are better than what was stated on the product page. I can't say they're all like that, but mine was, so that's always a bonus. Overall, after less than an hour of working on it directly, it was a pretty great deal. I only just received it today so I'll update this review if anything happens - but I don't expect it to. There wasn't anything directly shifty I saw. I'd suggest this purchase if you just want a test environment on a physical server or if you're an IT student and want something to mess around with. There's enough documentation on the internet that'll let you overcome the obstacles you might face.

I bought this back in 2022, but try to use it in Dec, 2025. Doesn't matter how long I put aside, this suppose to work right. But when I try, no video out put available. Missing hhd as other reviews. Wasted money.

This was a decent refurbished server. Works great. A few problems; 1) This was supposed to come with 4x 146GB 10K SAS Drives, it instead came with 2x 320GB 10K SAS drives. Have to buy an additional two for RAID10 support. Was told they were out of the 146GB drives. 2) Was supposed to come with no Operating System. It instead came with Windows Server 2012 R2 preloaded and configured. Had to call for the password so I could wipe and make sure nothing was on the server. Other than that, the server is working great. Almost fully tested and ready to be deployed. May be ordering another one soon.

Bought 3 DL360 G7's for a home lab/server farm to teach myself different linux/VM/clustering/fault tolerance, etc. What a deal! And the support from the seller has been absolutely stellar. I had a fan fail OOB. Contacted seller, and they shipped a new one in 2 days. 15 days later, the same server lost it's array controller. Contacted seller, and a new motherboard is on its way. WOW! HP can't even compete with this seller's customer service. Please don't hesitate to purchase these awesome servers.
