I needed a monitor to use with two different Mac laptops. I bought another one a couple of years ago that promised to be compatible and wasn't, and I had to return it. It's been a week with this one, and I couldn't be happier. It is large, and I can leave the two cables for the two laptops plugged in and connect and disconnect them to switch between them. Wow!!! We are absolutely in love with this display. We use it in our family room (on a coffee table) as a TV, and use a Chromecast (with remote/voice) to stream stuff to it. It is the *perfect* experience. This display is absolutely gorgeous in the room. The white finish is beautiful, and it's ultra thin, both in its display margins, and in the thickness of the display. It looks beautiful. The display quality is good when you're using it for a TV. It only has deep true blacks when you're viewing it dead-on, otherwise you can see the backlight, but -- it's totally fine. Don't expect perfection for a $200 device, but -- it's still pretty great. I wouldn't recommend it as a monitor, but mainly because HD resolution (1920x1080) isn't large enough for a display this big, IMO. But for a TV it's perfect. The chromecast works great with this TV. You can get it to control the volume (via a setting in the chromecast menus), and the chromecast is able to turn the TV both on and off via its power button, so everything works like a charm. The display was also packaged in a very eco-conscious way; the packaging was basically all folded cardboard. Overall, SUPER impressed, 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

    • Not Sure if This Was the RIght Choice
The main reason for buying this monitor for my laptop base was the two HDMI ports and 2 aux ports. The HP M27fwa 27" Monitor has a slower than advertised 5 sec. refresh. The picture fades into a better quality image after a delay but not a 5 sec response, that is for sure. The two HDMI ports have given me more than a few moments of frustration. Changing HDMI cable brands many times has not helped make it more responsive or automatic. The monitor sound is terrible, but most brands have that same problem. I do like the minimum frame for the display and it has good menu navigation. The monitor stand has worked out well even though it does not adjust vertically, there is a workable slant adjustment. ... show more

I bought this monitor because it had speakers and I wanted to hook up ROKU to it. Works perfectly for that, but the speakers do not sound good, I wasn't expecting them to for the price. I just hooked up my PC speakers to the monitor and now it sounds great. Overall good price for this monitor.

    • Nice Monitor for the Money.
Nice monitor for the price it is lightweight and looks nice on my desk. Not thrilled with the power button and where its located it is hard to see/find. I miss the ability to adjust the height.
