I bought this laptop for my daughter going to college. I never liked slow computers so needed something a bit fast with i7 intel inside that’s also reasonably priced. Well settled for this one and it’s been 4 years and the performance has been good. Though I upgraded the Ram from 16gb to 32gb by myself so it could give better speed for college work, but even before the upgrade, it’s always outperformed.     • There is no touch screen!
This is a really good computer. I decided to opt out of the touch screen model, not sure why its asking to review that, nonetheless really sturdy and fast computer. I have no complaints so far

I spent a VERY long time researching laptops before I bought this one in October 2020. I needed the 16gb RAM and 1Tb SSD incase I needed it to work from home. I use it for mostly school, and it works great for that. The camera works but isn't a very sharp image. I didn't choose a model with a touchscreen. The battery life and speed seem great. It was cheaper to buy this laptop with these specs on Amazon than straight from HP. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'll update this review if that changes. ... show more

    • What a waste of money!
I bought this laptop and was quite excited to receive it. I didn't use the Webcam till about several months later and guess what, it didn't work. Initially, it worked intermittently, then just stopped working. Tried all software fixes like driver updates etc. and even reset the laptop to factory setting. I didn't return it to Amazon or Apricot Power PC, who sold it through Amazon store front, because it was beyond the return window when I first tried to use the webcam function. It is unjustified because I am sure the webcam wasn't working from day one and I could have had the chance to return it if I used it during the return window. I wished I had bought it from a local store like BestBuy because they have a longer return window for customer who shop there a lot and also they have honored returns beyond the return window sometimes when you explain the situation. I spend much more at Amazon and yet can't return it. I would understand if the issue started happening after the return window but that is not the case here. The issue was there from day one but I just discovered it after the return window. I am not happy with either Amazon or Apricot Power PC. ... show more

    • Not stellar, but not horrible
Havent bought a laptop in quite a while. I knew they are smaller and lighter but it seems fragile to me. And for a 10th gen core I7 it seems a tad sluggish. Not horrible, mind you, it's just surprising.

Great laptop. Good for music production . The CPU and RAM make it more than capable for most things you'd need. Only negative is the GP programs that come installed that aren't really useful.
