Description

Switching out of S mode in Windows 11 Windows 11 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode 1. On your PC running Windows 11 in S mode, open Settings > System > Activation. 2. In the Switch to Windows 11 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link that appears there.) 3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store. Activate pre-installed Office 365: 1.Launch any Office app > 2.Start your activation by signing in with your Microsoft account(Create a account if you don't have one yet) > 3.Click "Activative Office" > 4.Sign in your account and follow the next prompts. > 5.Complete Step 1,2 and 3 > 6.Click on Refresh once Office is ready > 7.Open a document and accept the license agreement. Very simple and functional yet it has all of the essentials without any of the gimmicky frills. Maybe it takes a $300 laptop so I don't have to deal with built in Alexa-enabled something, HP-specific ports, fingerprint scanner, and other stuff I don't want or need. They don't try anything fancy with this one which for me is a positive. Plus it's TKL keyboard which really should be the new norm. Does not have a backlit keyboard which is a slight miss but for the price it's not a huge deal. You can take it out of S-mode easily and remove a lot of the addons and you have yourself a perfectly functional Windows machine. Despite the lower-tier hardware it still starts up very quickly if you make sure you don't have too much bloatware. Sure it's a little slow at times but if you're using it for day to day tasks it should be fine. Battery life seems very good, the laptop is also fairly lightweight as well. Honestly, for the price, this is not a bad laptop! I was looking for something I could game on, instead of cramming up my MacBook with stuff. The initial storage room for this laptop is not huge; however, it comes with an SD card! That was a nice bonus. It is not the fastest laptop in the world, but that is to be expected for how cheap it is. The keyboard is really nice and the keys feel good to type on. I don't really use the mouse tracking pad, but it hooks up to my USB mouse just fine! I think that this laptop would be perfect for someone who doesn't need to load a lot of programs, maybe someone who enjoys streaming videos, or just browsing the internet. Overall I think this is a good laptop for the price, but do your research to make sure this is what you are looking for. When I set the laptop up, it said something about a finger print lock and a touch screen - both of these options are not available for this laptop. ... show more

So I got this computer to do photo and flyer edits. Now it’s extremely light and looks great. Unfortunately it runs slow. I did buy an extended hard drive to make sure it’s not a lot on the computer to make it run slow but it still runs slow. I’m not sure if I would recommend this to anyone but if you’re not doing a lot and don’t need the space then get. ... show more

I've had it for 3 months and so far it's been amazing. Had a slight issue setting up, which could've just been my WiFi, but it has worked beautifully since. I'm constantly having to work on my schoolwork away from home and this is compact and light enough that I don't even need a different bag than the small shoulder backpack I bring with me everywhere.
