  • Easy to assemble
This product was easy to assemble and it came with several clips for plants. My plants started to attach to the netting and waiting to see how that holds up.

  • Huge and Sturdy when assembled
It's not quite gardening season yet, so I assembled the frame for this cucumber trellis indoors in preparation for gardening season and finding a place for it in the garden. At first the steel core plastic rod construction that clips together seems like it would be flimsy. It's doesn't end up that way. The clips hold the rods together securely and the entire assembly is quite sturdy (though fortunately I could flex it in order to fit it through the door). Be sure to look at the instruction page in the bottom of the box in order to figure out how to use the clips you will also want to measure and possibly mark the rods with a sharpie before assembly to help make sure that you get all of the clips in the same place. Eyeballing things got me one wonky set of legs that I'm going to have to remove and reassemble. It also requires a fair amount of upper body and hand strength to assemble. I was able to do it without tools but my wife had quite a bit of difficulty fitting the rods into the connectors as they are quite tight. Assembling it also dents the plastic. In some ways that's good because it means that the clips are exerting a lot of force on the rods but it also means that you won't want to disassemble and reassemble this very often. ... show more

  • Very sturdy and well constructed
I am very impressed with the sturdiness of this whole system. The metal clips that attach the arches to the cross braces are quite ingenious, once you see how they assemble it is a very sturdy and stable connection. All the components of this system are very substantial and will hold a lot of weight without wobbling or collapsing. The netting is stronger than any I have seen in the past and with larger holes it will be easier to work with, once the plants get growing it can be challenging to keep things in order. Having the arches 48" high it is plenty high enough to hold long vining plants like cucumbers, sweet potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Keeping the fruit and leaves off the top of the soil will help with insect damage and diseases that come from too much moisture. The height will also make finding your vegetables among the leaves and harvesting them easier, not as much bending over. Cucumbers will grow straighter when they are suspended and hang straight down. Having large vining plants suspended provide a nice shaded area to plant shade loving plants like lettuce and greens underneath the trellis. You increase your planting area quite a bit especially in a raised bed where you put your plants closer together and provide shade. It is easier to keep things watered when they are closer to each other. I am looking forward to using these trellises, I would expect them to last a lifetime. Everything you need is provided in this kit except the seeds and soil. ... show more

  • Surprisingly sturdy!
This was a nice surprise for me, it is actually quite a sturdy little trellis setup. I have a couple of sets of the bendy green garden hoops, which are pretty flimsy in the wind, so I had low expectations for this trellis set. I happened to assemble it the day before one of our worst storms of the season. But it held up like a champ! It's also a little bigger than I thought it would be. 29" wide at bottom, approx. 15" wide at the curve at the top, 4ft high and just over 5ft long. It took me roughly 30 minutes to assemble. One note, a good practice would be to dry fit all the pieces before fully locking in the poles for the hoops. Once they're in there, it's not fun trying to remove one if you made a mistake (ask me how I know). The clips that join the trellis poles to the cross supports were new for me, maybe I just don't get out much and they are common? But I thought they were a very clever and sturdy way to secure the braces to the trellis. I usually prefer to grow higher, not wider, for any vining crop, to save space in the planting beds. I might try to reconfigure this trellis so it is taller, and not so long. We'll see if I get around to that. For now, I'm excited to get some snap peas growing and then use it for cukes etc all season long. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Sturdy
Seemed like a normal, if not larger than average, trellis, but, once assembled, it was surprisingly sturdy. The connectors seem to be the deciding factor. This should hold up well, but only time will tell. If it doesn't, this review will be updated. Also, measure twice and assemble once. If everything isn't lined up perfectly, you will end up with an almost un-adjustable off-kilter trellis. ... show more

  • Easy way to increase garden production
This trellis is an upgrade for me. I normally use bamboo sticks to support vine plants that produce vegetables like pole beans and cucumbers. I just prepped my garden, so it’s too early to tell how durable they are, but when compared to the bamboo sticks I use this should last longer. Also assembly was easier than bamboo sticks. The plant twist wire that was included is a nice extra thing to have. ... show more

I was so looking forward to getting this only to not be able to use it due to many missing pieces

  • Difficult to put together
Kinda cheap materials. It's difficult to put together, and I've only gotten half of it done so far. It's not seeming to be very stable. Definitely won't be good for squash or anything heavy. Maybe green beans.
