This guy is good. Clear and consise. I just wish he would lose Microsoft and stay with Linux.

  • Excellent Step-by-Step Instructions
Simply put, this book is *the* best instructional manual I've encountered on setting up the Raspberry pi as a server, as well as setting up its peripherals. I've consulted other books and reviewed websites looking for such instruction. The advantage this book has is that its instructions are clear and concise. It also provides multiple methods for each task, depending on it you're using Raspian or another Linux OS such as Ubuntu. I am someone that learns by doing. This book provides the step-by-step how and why. Great for the beginner as well as the Linux or pi expert for reference. Thank you, Mr Wright. Well done. Edit: I removed one star from my review. I proceeded further in the book and found that some of its instruction was out of date, with updates not yet available on the author's website. The book is still written well enough that a someone savvy pi user will know where to look on via internet search-engines to find a solution. The book still provides excellent explanations of why to take certain steps, as well as points you in the right direction. ... show more
