  • Love this practical approach
Format: Paperback
This is an easy read for anyone interested in implementing Montessori into their home. The practical suggestions are easy to understand and try out. I also like being able to jump around the book for ideas instead of reading from beginning to end. Many other Montessori books I’ve read make me feel like I’m a horrible mother for not making my child’s entire world Montessori. This book does not. The book offers suggestions without condescension. It’s a great read, has great ideas, and easy to use. As an early childhood educator, I’d recommend it to anyone with a young child in their life! ... show more

  • great book
Format: Paperback
I first saw this book at the library, but I liked it so much I bought a copy here. It's good to look back on for ideas on toys/activities. It's also easy to read since it categorized nicely and is broken up with pictures and colors (I know, I'm an adult, but still great)! It's really opened my mind on how we want to raise our baby! She loves the treasure basket idea. ... show more

  • The best book for families who are interested in the Montessori Method
Format: Paperback
This is the one book that I recommend to my families who are new to Montessori, but want to learn more. I never recommend reading Dr. Montessori's texts as they are jargon-y, and difficult to understand without context and training. This book breaks it down into simple terms, and into easy-to-digest chapters. It is very true to Montessori approach to child development. One criticism I have is a lack of diversity in the children and families represented in this textbook. I work with families in the Global Majority, but most of the people depicted in this book are heteronormative and White. I hope in future editions the authors and photographers collaborate with Montessori classrooms and families who are more representative of the Global Majority. ... show more

  • Great overview
Format: Paperback
I have seen this book mentioned in several blogs online. I found it a great introduction to Montessori method, and I really like the layout and multitude of pictures. There were several examples of techniques to use throughout the book, but I purchased other books that go into more detail for that.

  • Montessori method explained perfectly.
Format: Paperback
I love this book so much that I am now trying to raise my baby girl with the Montessori methodology. Highly recommend this book to all the new parents out there. This book also has information about the kind of activities you can do with your child from birth until 6 years of age. Can't recommend it enough. ... show more

  • Great starting point
Format: Paperback
This book is an easy read with lots of great info. I found that we were already using a bunch of techniques, but wanted a nice starting place for the Montessori method.

  • Easy read
Format: Paperback
This is a great book to start out with if you’re just learning about Montessori and rereading it for ideas and reminders.
