  • For music lovers, especially guitarists, extraordinary and practical learning guide
Format: Kindle
An extraordinary practical training guide for any musician and guitar enthusiast who wants to start discovering this fascinating world of bass. The author deserves my recognition because he has provided this his wonderful reading work, practical learning lessons, exercises and explanations suitable to understand from the beginning and facilitate its development. So I highly recommend even for families with children at home who want to learn the basics and start learning in the future of one of the key instruments to accompany melodies of all genres "the bass" Pd I found it interesting to know that the musical notes that represent each string of a bass are E, A, D and G Congratulations on the enthusiasm shown in this beautiful explanatory work. ... show more

  • Get it!!
Format: Kindle
From a former bassist in a band, this is an outstanding guide for anyone looking to build a strong foundation on the bass guitar. It does a fantastic job of emphasizing the bass as the backbone of a band, working alongside the drums to master the groove. It provides clear and engaging instruction on how to hold the bass, tuning nuances, right-hand technique, left-hand thumb placement, and the importance of relaxation and consistency. The book also includes scales, tablature, and essential fundamentals, making it a great resource for both beginners and those looking to refine their technique. One of the great features is the many, many exercises to practice. Whether you’re just starting or want to deepen your understanding, this book offers valuable insights to help you groove with confidence. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • A very good book for the modern Bass Player.
Format: Kindle
How to Play Bass Guitar is a wonderful lesson book, but it's more than that, actually. The book covers the likes of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, and Reggae. It tells us how to find the groove for each music variation and provides a sampling of the sheet music to follow and try out. It covers beginner lesson information and intermediate player information. I appreciate the final section, where the book covers player health when playing bass. I primarily play the guitar; I own hundreds of guitar, bass, and piano lesson instruction books. I rarely, if ever, find a whole section in a book dedicated to providing stretching and exercises to practice and stay healthy, to have a long, enjoyable playing experience. Thank you. I would easily recommend this book to other Bass players. As for no video lessons, hey, it's a book! ... show more

Five Stars – "How to Play Bass Guitar" e is the perfect guide for beginners and a fantastic refresher for more experienced players. The lessons are clear, the progression is logical, and the practice tips keep you engaged from start to finish. It’s an incredibly practical book and most of all I loved the history and background of modern music styles. • Straight-Forward Lessons
Format: Kindle
Great tutorial. Very clear and straight-forward lessons. I really liked the fact that the music was both doable yet challenging at times. Building up of muscle memory for many of these riffs is what it's all about.

Format: Paperback
If there is any mention that one needs to be a participant on Facebook, I missed it. I would think that would be prominent in the product description. There is an alternative email address, but this is totally bogus. There is also a scan thing (Qcode?) for people who are able to use a cell phone. I have no intention of ever being on Facebook and I don't walk about with my nose in a cell phone; so I guess I am out of luck. This product is for the abject beginner - a juvenile beginner. It's too much trouble to send it back; I'll eat it. ... show more
