I wanted to store white flour, wheat flour, and rice from larger packages (like from Costco) and I wanted it to be easy to get to the food without struggling with traditional bucket lids. I love these gamma seal lids. Originally I just put the lid on top of the bucket and it didn't "stick" to the bucket at all and I thought they were badly designed, but then I read the reviews and realized I need to press very hard (I used two people, four hands) and then the lid snapped into place and it feels very sturdy. The gamma seal lid spins easily (as long as you don't tighten it too much). I can't speak to whether or not it is water proof or perfectly air-tight. I haven't turned the buckets upside down and tried to dump out the ingredients. I will say that the seal is a thin piece of rubber around the lid and I could see that it might easily wear out, and I'm not sure where/how to buy replacements, so that could be an issue in the future. For now, the gamma lids do seem to sit level on the buckets and they will keep out pests. I use the dark blue bucket for (dark) whole wheat flour, the light blue bucket for (light) white flour, and the gray bucket for brown rice.

I got the 3-color variety pack with blue, teal, and gray. The colors are nice, and they came apart easily from shipping. The lids were easy to tap on with a rubber mallet. I'm using them to store grains like rye and wheat with a few oxygen absorbers. So far they seem great!

These buckets arrived on time and as described. They are sturdy and the handles hold up well. The upgraded design element of the twist on lid is the reason these buckets are so great. If you need to be able to easily open a bucket, this is the right buy. I will note that putting the ring on top for the screw on lid was very difficult to do. I had several people try before we were able to attach the ring for the twist on lid. Once that is attached you can open and close these with ease. They hold the standard 5 gallons. They seal well when closed. I use them for a bubble mixture and feel secure knowing it won't spill.

For food grade buckets on Amazon, these are delivered fastest. A bit expensive, but they are lightweight and have a nice gasket in lid. Have a good feeling of these, and hope they hold up with our animals.

Love the color and the sturdiness. The lids do not screw on, just set on, so that was disappointing as I do have 3 that the lids screw on.

The part of the lid that you have to push on is hard to get on. It takes 2 people, but we are older too. The inner lid spins on easy. I mark the bucket and lid to make it easy to line up the threads with the gap on the inside. I loaded a picture, hope this helps. I love the inner lid which screws on. I have to make my own bread (dairy and gluten free) so I buy 3 different 25 lb bags for that and I also by 25 lb bags of beans, peas, rice etc. These buckets and lids help keep my flours and bean dry and protected. Again I love the screw on inner lids. And the buckets are sturdy and stack on top of each other. Thanks for such a great product!

The media could not be loaded. Very nice buckets. I hope they last because they aren't cheap. Very sturdy so I think they will be just fine. Use daily.
