I purchased this bucket for a little project and have been very impressed with the quality. The lid seals tightly and creates an airtight fit, giving me confidence that the contents will stay protected from moisture, dust, pests and is FOOD safe. Once the lid is snapped into place, it isn’t coming off. I included a video to show how secure it is and how hard is to take off. I’m a 6’4” 275 human so I have a bit of strength 😃 The bucket itself is made from thick, durable plastic that feels strong and built to last. The handle is basic but can tell this bucket will hold up for many years of regular use without cracking or warping. If you’re looking for a reliable storage bucket with a secure, airtight lid, this is an excellent choice. These are high-quality, midsize buckets that came quickly and nicely packed and are perfect for a use in the garden. The bucket is fine; however, it took so long to receive it, I had to go out and buy one while I waited! I think Amazon’s delivery is slipping.

    • Seal is not air tight!

Good size and good quality, but the lid is not air tight at all. I had to tape it down on the sides to prevent anything from spillage. This was before pulling off the pull strip along the rim, where the lid was still loose. There is no way to screw the lid tight as it is a clasp seal. The handle is secure and locks into place when it's upright, which is a positive. I was going to use this bucket for soil to prevent air and moisture, but I recommend double checking the seal upon purchase, as it is not consistent. ... show more

The buckets arrived on time and they are really heavy duty, food grade. I chose black plastic to keep light out of contact with what I am storing. I recommend these buckets as they are high quality and heavy duty.
