These are great for a diversified sound machine, look fantastic, I don’t have any mechanical issues with them but the products appear to be a bit inconsistent with their volume. I bought 2 of these approximately 6 months apart from one another, and even though they are the exact same machine, one of them is much louder and deeper than the other one. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem as you would only have one machine in a room but I needed two in our large basement living room to help with disturbing our parrots with common household sounds, such as doors closing, people walking over “creaky” parts of the stairs, dogs barking, etc. I noticed that the first machine that I received is much louder and deeper, which is perfect on white noise for masking those sounds, but the second that I received doesn’t have that same loud resonance on the same exact settings/volume. It will do but it’s just bothersome to be in the middle of the room and have what sounds like a competing noise from one side of the room. My birds don’t seem to be affected by it but I do have to be much more quiet on one side of the room than the other in the early mornings to avoid disturbing them and waking them up. It will work for now but I think that I will upgrade to the more pricey option that I have in my bedroom if either of these gives out.

I wanted a sound machine that had both brown/red noise and pink noise. Brown noise uses deep frequencies like thunder, crashing waves, heavy rainfall, running water. Pink noise is lower frequency sounds like rushing water, rustling trees, ocean waves, steady light rain, heart beat. White noise is both low and high frequencies together like fans, A/C, vacuums. This device has a few of both brown/red and pink sounds which is why I chose it. The only thing I dislike is that it doesn't show a volume level so its hard to know which volume a certain sound is on when I find the volume I like. It will save that particular setting until I change it and then have to start over with a new sound and volume level for that sound.

This is quite small but the sound really packs a punch. On other sound machines Ive tried the loudest setting still wasn’t loud enough. But this one can get plenty loud. I’m only using the fan noise and I really like it. It has a nice round sound to it and I can’t detect any sound loops that can be distracting.

Take your pick, forest birds & a gurgling stream, sloshing ocean waves, a dripping faucet, DRIPPING FAUCET? That would drive me bonkers! Lulabys, crickets, several different fans, white noises & many others. The only one I would have liked if it wasn't so unlike an actual fire was the camp fire sound, such strange crackles. With such a variety of sounds, everyone should find one they like & one that would lull them off to dreamland. I rather like the rolling thunder sounds, gurgling streams, forest birds.

This machine is wonderful. The choices of sound are terrific. I especially like the crickets or train. I sleep in short order. The sound of wind blowing as in a winter storm is soothing, also. The machine is easily managed. The volume controls are reliable. I keep it plugged in. I bought two. One for guest room and master bedroom. It is attractive wood grain look and takes very little room. Very pleased.
