I’m not going to name names, but let’s just say we all know that famous aluminum-frame luggage that has been living rent-free on social media. I originally only wanted one suitcase, but when I saw this HotWay 3-piece set came with the 20”, 24”, and 28” for the price, I had to pause. Because honestly, how do you pass up a full luggage lineup when the deal is dealing? First impression: the silver looks clean, sleek, and expensive. It has that polished airport-main-character look without screaming “I overpaid for this.” The hard PC shell feels sturdy, and I really love the aluminum frame style because it gives the suitcase a more structured, luxury feel compared to softer hard-shell luggage. It feels secure, not flimsy. The set comes with three sizes: the 20” carry-on, the 24”, and the 28”. The 24” and 28” are definitely spacious, so most likely those are going to be checked bags depending on how you pack. I checked mine, and baby, you know airport luggage handlers are not gentle. This suitcase survived being tossed around and still held up really well. That hard shell is not just for looks. One thing I really appreciated was that it came with luggage sleeves/covers. That is such a smart little bonus, especially because checked bags can get scratched up fast. The covers help protect the suitcases and keep them looking cute longer, which matters when you bought them partly because they look good. The spinner wheels roll smoothly, the TSA lock gives extra peace of mind, and the combination lock is easy to use once you set it up. The inside has a good amount of space, and the larger sizes are great if you are an overpacker, vacation outfit planner, or someone who needs “just in case” options. No judgment, because same. Now let’s talk about the fun part: decorating. I got the silver because I wanted something neutral but still stylish, and I love that it gives me options. You can leave it clean and classy, add travel stickers, or even paint/customize it if you’re into that social media-inspired luggage aesthetic. It’s basically a blank canvas with rich-auntie travel energy. Another bonus is that the color options are broad. They have shades like silver, white, green, and black, so you can pick your vibe. I also like that you can register the luggage for warranty, because that makes the purchase feel a little more secure. Overall, this is a really good alternative to the more expensive designer-looking luggage sets out there. Pre-trip review: Just got this bag and I love it already! Packed it up for my week trip and everything fits perfectly even considering that it doesn’t have zipper expansion. This bag is not for over packers, please keep that in mind but is excellent for an efficient packer. Only thing is figuring out the TSA locks but they give good instructions for use. ... show more
