Was looking for a mini vacuum to clean my desk, PC, peripherals, etc. and this product works great. It's compact but powerful for such a small device. The strong suction made cleaning quick and easy, and I love not having to wipe my desk with a wet cloth and kicking up dust everywhere. I've even found other uses that I didn't think of like vacuuming the crevices of my recliner, sliding window tracks, dusty picture frames, and it's great for my car. I like that the dust cup and filter are easy to disassemble and clean, and the included bag is nice to keep everything together. Charging took a while when I first got it - about 4 hours - so I got a 5V charging block per the instructions and that seemed to charge it a little faster. I haven't tried the blower or inflating attachments yet but I assume they should work well. Overall a great value and a useful little device. ... show more

I had to return the first one i got, it wouldn't even charge, lights weren't coming on when trying to charge, the second one works great. very powerful and compact, is a little noisy but that's ok. Didn't care for the small case it comes with, bought a hard case to keep it in. Price was comparable to other products, This was actually on sale when i got so i saved a few bucks. Great idea but poor product. This started out good but just after the return window the battery life got shorter and shorter. 3 months later itโ€™s just lasting a few minutes per charge. The compartment for collection is super small so it canโ€™t pick up much before needing to be emptied. Now the vacuum isnโ€™t screwing on, so itโ€™s not able to be used. Ok so this unit is nice and powerful, ie : Iโ€™m not using it for vacuuming my car or anything, as I think thatโ€™s kinda ridiculous to have that kind of expectations for something that fits in your hand and obviously only has like an 8floz reservoir.. max. I use this bad boy toโ€ฆ letโ€™s start at 2. 2. Clean the keyboard. The compression this thing puts out with the heavily tapered end is impressive, not โ€œcan of airโ€ impressive but dang close and you donโ€™t have to worry about hitting the angle wrong and misting ice cold propellant on the sensitive bits. 1. โ€”> the #1 reason I bought this specific make/model (HOTO compressed air capsule. Model QWCXJ001) is for sucking up these dang bugs! I work during the day, so when I get home and turn on the PC, Iโ€™ve got 3 screens, the ladybugs and box elder bugs come out in force. Oh and I have as much RGB shut off as I can but my RAM is a nice little party all the time and my case side is glass. So anyway, this HOTO handheld is worth its weight in gold as its ability to suck a bug off a sensitive surface without getting very close is like nothing Iโ€™ve ever seen! PS: big bonus, if you are buying this unit for the purposes I have, the vacuum attachment is very well built, with a tiny reusable hepa filter in it and the vacuum tunnel has a flap so they go in but they donโ€™t go out. (See second photo, Iโ€™ve got some ladybugs and a fly!) ... show more

    • Suction throttles down making it useless. Problem resolved by 5 star customer service.
Update: Hoto customer service reached out to me. They did what they could to try and fix my issues with the vacuum. They went above and beyond to make it right. I own many Hoto products and this vacuum is the only one that has been a problem. Gue to Hotos dustomer service I will continue to purchase, use and recommend their products. I like this vacuum quite a bit at first. It had plenty of power to do the small cleaning jobs I bought it for. Within a couple of months of light use it has developed a power problem. Within 5 second of turning it on it throttles down the power to a level where the suction is so low it is useless. ... show more

    • somehow I hate it and I love it at the same time
The hoto is great in theory. It's powerful for its size and it's simple in design. The thing I really dislike about it is the vacuum brush head attachment (which is necessary if youre trying to suck up fibers of any kind. Theres a sliding shaft to cover or expose the brush hairs and it is constantly sliding around when youre not asking it to. It gets in the way, feels clunky and overall very frustrating. The chamber for debris is also VERY small, so expect to be emptying out regularly. Since there is obviously no bag, when cleaning out the debris chamber, dust and particles POOF out everywhere. Bad for allergy sufferers and also kind of defeats the purpose of cleaning up in the first place unless you take the thing outside every time you want to empty out the chamber. overall, I would not recommend. Youre better off getting something a little larger and more dependably designed. if you just want this for the blower feature, works fine I guess. but why would anyone want that? I love this little vacuum/blower! I use this at my coffee bar, mostly to clean up errant coffee grounds. I run it from 15 seconds to 1 minute at a time and its great. Strong suction and easy cleaning of the filter system make this ideal for what I use it for. I noticed I had to charge it fairly often so on a full charge, I turned it on and let it run until it discharged. Just over 10 minutes which isn't bad for a small device. I believe it's likely running less than 10 minutes the way I'm using it but that's fine. It's so much easier than getting the big vacuum out! I bought 4 additional filters but havent used them. The filter is (I believe) paper but I wash it and let it dry overnight. I've done this 3 or 4 times and the filter is still in good condition. For my usage, I couldn't ask for more. ... show more

This is an updated product review for this product. The first vacuum I received had to be replaced and there was some difficulty working with customer service at first. Eventually though it all worked out and I received a replacement. The replacement is fantastic. It works as expected and is great for cleaning my desk area, and computer. I have an office in the basement and there is more dust and debris than one might expect and this vacuum does a fantastic job of cleaning up. It holds a charge for a long time and as long as I empty the receptical it has no problem picking up small bits, dust, cobwebs, etc.. After trying several cheaper small vacuums meant for this type of cleanup this is the best I've found. I really love this product and once everything was resolved with customer service they were really great too. ... show more
