It works well with standard bath thread. You need to put seal on your own though. Plus Put tapes on the tread to add better sealing. Double adjustment link works smoothly though you need tight it up every a little while as it becomes loose often.

This is a great plumbing fixture for shorter people! Now I can reach my handheld shower head. The installation took 10 minutes, so easy. (I did use plumbers tape on the threads where it connects to the riser pipe). I highly recommend this shower arm. Bonus: great price!

I like the fact the shower head is up higher when you're tall it makes for a more enjoyable experience, but it doesn't have a perfect fit I've tightened it pretty good and I have plumbers tape on the threads but it will still have a drip or a slight leak as it's being used.
