I was trying to find a replacement for my old duvet insert which cost over $1k. It is also quite breathable and has good temperature control. I have only used it during the winter so far and it definitely recommend it for normal to warm/hot sleepers. I've had to give away two duck down comforters I recently bought because they smelled like wet dog, even after washing ; I now have to return a synthetic comforter because of a chemical smell that permeates. the air and the sheets and my PJs ! I can't sleep with that . Finally, I tried this 100 % goose down comforter ( 75% goose down; 25 % goose feathers) -it arrived today, and VOILA'. no odor ! Great warm but light love to get into bed. No longer cold at night inspite of 2 down alternative comforters, quilted filled blanket and a heavy bedspread Don’t have central heating and wood stove goes out middle of night. I love this!!
