Really happy overall with this shelving. Looks great when finished. I deducted a star for 2 reasons: it's tedious to put together (a million parts, but at least the directions are easy to follow, so that is a plus) and 2nd reason was the sad stickers they give to cover the screws, they are useless. See pics. The cabinet doors open and shut well and stay shut. Feels sturdy. We definitely attached the wall support to keep it stable since it is tall and felt unstable otherwise, especially with 5 overactive dogs. I do really like it, but be prepared for following the directions (this isnt a piece you can figure out without them) and you will likely need a 2nd person to help put the top piece on. ... show more

The bookshelf arrived very quickly, and was actually very easy to assemble. I needed help only once to lift the upper section onto the lower base. It took me a couple of hours to assemble, but I was taking my time. * building tip* go ahead and do the two lower doors after the base is assembled rather than waiting until the end. It will be easier. The unit has twelve side shelves, four center shelves and a lower two door cabinet with a shelf inside, plus the full top for items. This one unit holds my books, camera equipment, paperwork, random baskets of things and a bunch of plants… I have only had it a couple of weeks and have received quite a few compliments on it already. It really is quite beautiful. If and when I need another bookshelf I will definitely come back for another Hostack product. Was definitely worth the money. ... show more
