Once it's all put together, it's awesome. The gas hinges work great, that was a pleasant surprise. Assembling was a challenge for a single male with experience putting this stuff together. For one person it was a real challenge putting the top on the base.     • Charming Lifttop, but Difficult to Assemble
The farmhouse/rustic vibe of this coffee table is charming and the lift top feature is great; especially liking the slow close. However, this is definitely a two man build as the lift top assembly can be particularly difficult. The instructions are simple in the negative way as in they are not the most clear and some of the parts that were included with the table and that were presented in the instructions were different, so it made it challenging to tell if the parts were correct. Additionally, one of the legs I received was made upside-down as in where the pre-drilled holes were suppose to be, were on the wrong end. It was only fortunate that it did not compromise the rest of the build as we just forced new, correct holes with the screws. Seems quite sturdy, but would not condone it to hold significantly heavy objects. Another negative is that the bar that is horizontal inside of the lift top feature for stability does block items on the inside, so beware that the compartment for under the lift top is smaller. ... show more

Wasn’t too bad to assemble my brother helped well he did it ha ha, it’s relatively sturdy it’s serving it’s purpose for what I need it for has some storage in it and under it is open for storage it’s like pressboard but it’s a nice looking piece for the money even if it lasts a year I’m good I wouldn’t suggest it for houses with a lot of activity use ,you know children or teens it’s not that sturdy ... show more

Easy to assemble with step by step directions. Although the pieces weren't labeled the pictures were easy to follow. Our whole family loves the lift up feature to eat, write or use a laptop. Very convenient. I don't think I'd like one that doesn't lift up now.

That it’s compressed wood, it already broke and just put it together yesterday. My boyfriend had to rig it up with Superglue! Not worth what i spent!

I love it!!!!! Very sturdy table. It took me and my husband to put it together. Trying to understand the direction’s, it took the both of us. We’re older people. We figured it out. It looks good.

    • Poor design
I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but for this table, I had no choice. I have put together quite a few pieces of furniture that need assembly, but this one was on a different level entirely, in the negative way. The instructions are not very clear, and The way they have you assemble the pieces, I broke both of the side panels twice while trying to keep it together. I had to purchase wood glue, small wood dowels and 3 clamps in order to continue to build the product as I didn’t wanna have to deal with shipping it back. Once I got it together, it was fairly sturdy, but even then, some of the screws are not accessible, so an L-shaped Phillips screwdriver provided by the manufacture would be very handy. The only positive with this table is soft close feature, but not worth having to deal with putting this together. ... show more

    • Great table but SHARP CORNERS!

Great coffee table, relatively easy to put together but it was time consuming. The soft close is great and it’s really sturdy when the lift top is up. The only really bad thing about is is the SHARP corners!! I was sitting on the couch and swung my feet down to stand up and absolutely destroyed my foot on one of the corners, it was bleeding everywhere and is now super bruised. I would recommend getting corner guards! ... show more
