Style: Bow Rake
Rake is heavy, sturdy, the metal is quality and the stick is quality too. It's black and green, with comfort pads on the top and where your hands might hold the rack. I'm very happy. It is not light weight... which I'm happy about. I can't say it's ergonomic, except for the cushion is nice.

I planted 33 Clusia around my back fence and the nursery told me to put mulch around it to avoid weeds. Well, the grass sure grew fast under that mulch! And I bet the weeds are right behind the grass. So I knew I was in trouble and needed to pull that mulch up. All 21 bags of it! I would need to start using a hand mower to keep the lawn maintenance man and his unyielding weed eater away from my new plants. I thought putting the mulch down was a job! Holy moly, no! Picking it up is. I had a rake already, and it disengaged bottom from handle within 6 piles. So I went in search of something that would get me through the rest. This rake did! It is substantial and on the heavy side. I'm more a senior than a junior :-) and I never had huge upper body strength to start with, however, even with the weight of this rake, I could manage it. And the heaviness actually helped pick up more of the mulch. Which I put in trash bags and burned tons of calories! And I didn't pass out! I did purchase another fan-type rake because there are pieces that this heavy duty rake isn't meant to remove. So that's to come. My hand mower keeps stopping and sticking due to the leftover mulch pieces. Ahhh...mulch, the gift that keeps on giving. So, no more mulch or this woman! But this rake should last and I'm glad to have it. I can't rate it on durability because I just got it. The biggest issue with rakes is they are made to disengage from the handle. I hope that doesn't happen in this case. It's stored in my shed, but at this point, I do recommend this rake wholeheartedly.

This rake is very good. I moved over 800lbs of dirt with this. It rakes up rocks very well. It is well made. The handle us thick and smooth. This rake never broke and I was very forceful with it. The handle grip is great. No issues at all. Highly recommend.

Arrived with minor damage an assembled with plastic bag , it’s serviceable however in this day and the cost of item should not have had any damage.

seems like a contractor grade rake that won't lose it's head in clay soil. oddly heavy though unbalanced maybe if they moved the center grip up it would balance better.

Rake head well secured in handle unlike the typical friction-fit metal loop wedged into a wooden handle and somewhat secured by a metal cowling. I used to put a screw through the metal cowling inside that loop to better hold the rake head in place. This worked until the wood deteriorated from moisture over time and simply broke off. Not an easy fix to replace that handle. This Hooeyman rake has the head very securely attached to an apparently weather-proof handle. We will see, but I am satisfied with it so far (1 month since 11/2020). It is heavier than the more common rake, but seems a lot more durable and not that much more expensive.

I am disabled, but I can’t use this super heavy duty rake to clean up our sandy yard in Seaside, California. Spend the money on this because I can’t see any flaw in the design and construction and I believe this will never fall apart. I must say it’s still hard work to till the sand, so I’ll never complain again about paying any price to a farmer for fruit or vegetables!
