This was the perfect bookshelf where the height of my dining room in the. The bookshelf is 6 ft tall and stores lots of books and has lots of space on it. The height of each shelving can fit up to a three-ring binder with space space above. I'm 6 ft tall and the height of the shelving is correct. The quality of the material is strong enough to hold plenty of books and it was worth the value of the money. The color is a variety of Chestnut and black. My first one was easy to assemble and all the parts fit to specifications. And yes there is a strap that securely fastens the bookcase to the wall. However, the second one, the box was busted and some parts were missing. I can’t send it back because like I said, the box was busted and taped to keep it all in. Looks fantastic and holds alot for the small space it takes up. It's not super easy to assemble but the directions are clear just time consuming. Can be assembled in and L shape or a straight long shelf. My daughter loves it for her smaller bedroom.
