I did a lot of looking around. This was my choice for a basic smart band. I am plenty satisfied with the battery life, about 10 days, and the performance. I like the sleep monitor function. The customization is limited....there are supposed to be watch face options through the app but they don't show up on my phone. There are 3rd party watch faces but they seem kind of low rent. The app is not available on the Google play store but it is downloadable from the Huwawei site and installs easily. ... show more

Reviews on Amazon and other sources made this product look like a good alternative after my second Fitbit broke. (I had also grown to believe that Fitbit's subscription rate was a poor value for me.) I was a little concerned by several reviews for this watch that cautioned that the process of setting up the watch was challenging. I am very capable of following directions, but do not have a deep understanding of how to troubleshoot when the directions are extremely scant, poorly translated or when what to do when following them does not work. I bought the watch anyway because I have a tech knowledgeable friend who had experience with this exact product. Unfortunately, it took more than 30 days to get together after my purchase. When we did finally sit down with the watch I learned that Google Play no longer had the app available and that the app to run the watch was now only available through an unsecured website! I try hard not to panic over media hype about every potential danger, but in a world where Governors ban TikTok, downloading an app from a Chinese company that Goggle Play won't carry seems a bit careless. I do not know if this current round of China paranoia is legitimate or political theater. But when there are options that don't require exposure? My tech savvy friend went home with a free watch. If you do not have the old app.. Do not buy the band!!! My whole family have the honor band 5 for 3 years now and love it.. Never had any issues.. I was having eye issues so I thought I would get the larger screen, and purchased one for my friend. Mine had no problem adding to the old app. However I'm returning her band since they no longer even offer the app for this band in the playstore.. Any playstore!!we tried them all even on my husband's iPhone They offer a crappy download app with horrible adds of naked woman . So no I would not recommend this product any longer Buyer beware.... ... show more

I bought this for my daughter, but it immediately gave her a rash. I'm less sensitive, so I decided to try it. It seems to only count steps if your arm is dangling. Pushing a stroller or shopping cart will barely log at all. My main complaint is that the mobile app seems to be unavailable, at least through Google play store. There are a dozen scammy synch "help" apps that share the name, but the actual app is nowhere to be found. The best features of the watch require the app, so that's a bust.
