This stand was cheap in price, not very substantial but it certainly works fine and does what I need it to do which is hold spools of thread. Sometimes I put it on the table next to my embroidery machine & sometimes on the floor. I am not happy with this thread stand. Its so light it tips over, doesn't stay in place and it doesn't really work for sewing with. If I could find a way to hook the stand down so it doesn't tip over it would work better. I've tried setting heavy objects on it but it doesn't keep it in place and thread sages. ... show more

The thread stand arrived in a timely fashion. There are no instructions for how to put it together, just a bubble pocket containing pieces. Sadly, all pieces were not in the packet. The plastic is very flimsy as are the posts. I didn't try it because it wasn't complete and I started a return, but I question whether it isn't too light to keep the thread on the stand and not tip it over.
