I have purchased this shelf twice now, once in 2022, when I moved back home. I needed pantry space, and this fit the bill. I always intended the space to empty out for me to put some kitchen electronics that has just not happened. Fast forward to 2025, and we had minor flooding in my living space. This allowed me to remove several years of stuff that was just lying around not being used to make room for more shelving. Unfortunately, the initial shelf I ordered, which was cheaper was delayed by over a week. I was very frustrated and irritated. Because, in the meantime, it meant I had a mess of things that had no place to go and it was so visually overstimulating. I thought that shelf would never make it. And be auto, canceled and refunded. So I ordered this one because it could arrive next day and it did!!!! It did cost me $15 more and after the flooding, every dollar mattered. But at least I knew what to expect, because my initial shelf was still going strong, still looked good, doing its job. This took more time to get out of the box and open up than it really did to assemble. Only one person is needed as long as you're tall enough, you can do this. Simple, straightforward directions, you put the feet on at the bottoms, you put the plastic things on the same spot of the legs and then slide the shelf into place. And you put the plastic things on, and just slide the next shelf into place, and the best part is you can move them if they're too far or too close. This is great for storage when you have some items that are taller and some are shorter. I had mine set up and pretty much covered in no time flat. The feet are great as they screw on so if you have an uneven surface, you can unscrew them a little to make your shelf more stable as level. It doesn't come with any wall mounting to prevent tipping. If you need something like that, you'd probably have to find something heavy duty at a hardware store for that. That's not my concern I don't have children in the home. Overall I highly recommend and if my shelf that's in limbo does not arrive I might be buying a third one of these because I need more upward storage space. ... show more

I purchased two of these shelf units, one to store small framed artwork and various excess art supplies, and the other to organize various household items that need to be kept out of the way, but easy to find when needed. These shelves, along with several plastic storage containers purchased separately, have created a perfect storage solution for me. They were so easy to put together, I think each one took me maybe 15 minutes. No tools required but I did use a rubber mallet to tamp the shelves fully down onto their clips. After settling one shelf onto its clips, I noticed I had the clips in the wrong place on one side. It was no problem to tap the shelf up off the clips with the mallet, move the clips to the right place, then tap the shelf back down. I like that the shelves are lightweight, so if I decide to reconfigure my storage space, it’ll be easy to do. I would have given it 5 stars but the description is a little misleading. This is more a medium duty rack not a heavy duty rack. And I personally think the 200lb shelf capacity is also a little misleading. I am pretty sure that if you put something 200lbs on the shelf it would bend. But for my use in the garage for storing household goods and cleaning supplies and various other items it suits its purpose. But a tip for those that purchase this. It you plan on storing on the rack smaller items like maybe cleaning bottles or something like that. Take the packaging that the rack comes in and cut up the cardboard to about the size of each shelf and use it as a shelf liner so that bottles do not tip over because of the spacing in the wire rack shelving. You can line 3 shelves with the carton it comes in. In regards to assembly the instructions are not the best but its pretty easy to figure out how to assemble without the instructions. This was the EASIEST shelf system to put together I have ever purchased. The directions were a little odd, very few words and pictures that were no help, but the part labels were clear enough and that was all I needed. I find it amusing that so many others who purchased this say they needed a mallet to put this together. I needed nothing at all, and it's all due to the genius design of the shelf parts. The kit comes with 4 short poles and 4 long ones that attach with a coupler bushing that screws in to one end of both, they just twist together with your hands. The feet also just twist in, so that all that is left is attaching them to the shelves. There's a bag of these shelf support clips - this is what is brilliant. The way the clip together, around the legs of the shelving, if you look very closely at them one end is slightly wider than the other once they are snapped together, and this is by design. You can easily measure the distance on each leg because there are indented markings that you can count, and they're all exactly in the same place. You snap a shelf support clip in to place on the desired spot, making sure that the narrower part of the clip is pointed toward the top. Once all 4 clips are in place for the first shelf (always do the bottom one first!!) then you just slide the shelf down on to the clip, and the shelf is snug! Once I got the first shelf in place at the desired height from the ground that I wanted, I set the frame upright so that the empty poles were pointing up. Then I just snapped 4 more clips on at the spot I wanted my next shelf, slid the shelf down onto to the clip, pushing the shelf holder down over that narrowest part of the clip and once it reached the widest part, it is forced to stop in place. I repeated the next two shelves the same way. These shelves don't bow in the middle like plastic shelving does. I got this to store all my paint supplies, leaving the bottom shelf just high enough to store a set of gallon cans below it. Once I figured out the design of those clips, my job was easy. No place in the instructions is it discussed about the clip design (there are no actual words other than the names of the parts) - so it took me a few minutes to notice how, when the clips are snapped together, one end is slightly wider than the other. The ease and sturdiness of these shelves is fabulous. I am a 59 year old woman and was able to put this kit together in about a half an hour, and part of that time was deciphering the funky instructions! I am impressed. I love these, perfect size and height for what I needed. I purchased the 4-Tier Shelving Unit: 250 lbs per shelf with intentions of storing all my gallons of paint, plus my miter saw which will go on the second shelf from the bottom. Ignore the video giving this shelving unit 1 star. The parts that seem not to fit are shipping spacers used to align the shelves (see picture). The parts that grip the pole are not supposed to fit perfectly together. Pressing down on the shelf causes the plastic pieces to compress, resulting in a firm hold. Without space for compression, the shelf would lack support (see picture). I have multiple shelving units like this one in different sizes, and this one is just as good as any of the others. I like the fact that it comes in white and in the 18x24 size. I was impressed with the shipping materials that protected the parts from damage. It's extremely easy to assemble with no tools required. The instructions are easy to follow, if you even need them, because the bags containing the parts are labeled clearly making building it self-explanatory. Each shelf easily holds 90lb of pet food and the 10lb cat that wants to eat it all! The only room for improvement would be for the shelf brackets/pole grippers to come in white. 10/10 highly recommended. ... show more

We bought this shelving unit for our busy kitchen to help us keep the counters clear of clutter. We added the casters, ordered separately, to make it easier to clean UNDER the shelving unit. The casters have added enough height that even using the lowest shelf setting for our dog's food bowls, our Roomba can clean UNDER the shelving unit so we don't have to move it out as much to clean under the shelves. Win-Win-Win! The Roomba is happier not fighting with the dog food bowls, our dogs are happier to each from an elevated bowl on the wire shelf AND we're happier because our counters are much clearer and it's easier to see what items we are getting low on. We now store our produce (apples, citrus, etc) on the middle of the shelves in wooden bowls and hang our bananas from a hook hanging from the shelf. I also hang a water bottle with a few drops of Dawn for a quick cleaning spray, this is helpful even on the citrus when organic citrus is not in season. Now it's easy to grab the water bottle, spray, rinse and the fruit is ready. Because of our smaller height items, I bought an extra shelf to add to this unit so our shelving unit will now be 6 shelves instead of the 5 shelves as it's sold. I love how Honey Can Do sells a line of accessories from casters to extra shelves to spare clips so we KNOW they work together. This shelving unit even came with a spare plastic clip for the shelves in case one breaks. Assembly is easy enough I was able to build these shelves despite some serious mobility issues. It IS helpful to have an extra pair of hands, though so keep that in mind. Lightweight, I was able to move the box myself. I'm totally pleased, definitely a full 5 stars! ... show more
