I have a number of shelves similar to this one, but a different brand with wheels. The instructions are useless, but we have so many of this type shelf, assembly was a breeze. For each level, you use two clips that have to be in the correct orientation. The clips are marked so you know which end is up. Once you have the bottom shelf in place, count the grooves on the side posts to position the clips for the next shelf. Once you have the clips in place, put the shelf over them and either push down hard or pound the shelf down with a rubber hammer. I grow all of our veggies in our basement and needed a small shelving unit to store my fertilizers and soil additives. I had been keeping them on the floor and this wasn't working well. This shelf is perfect for storage of these items and keeps them off the floor. I am very happy with this shelving unit and would recommend it. I hope this review was helpful for you. ... show more

This is actually pretty big and can hold so much . did not expect it to be so tall but that was a plus for me. easy to build. I would just watch out for when you build it because it is hard to pull apart in case you dont like the distance between the shelving you built.

I love love love this thing!!! It's SO easy to put together. The first time it took me a little over an hour because I had to find the instruction video lol but the second time took 30 mins. It holds so much stuff and so much weight! I don't know what else to say about it lol it's a shelving unit! I love that I can make the shelves whatever height I want. What I don't particularly like is that the little nuggets that go into the notches to hold up the shelves are a bit flimsy. Not when the shelf is put together, but they're flimsy when putting the shelf together, and it makes putting it together a bit challenging when you don't want to count the notches. (If this was confusing, it'll make more sense when you buy it). Don't let that complaint deter you from buying it. It's not actually a big deal. The unit is still absolutely amazing. More colors would be incredible. Blue, green, red, beige, brown, purple... all that! I would want one in every room in my home lol. You absolutely should buy this. ... show more

*** you came back to the reviews for a reason, pay attention to the ones that describe building the shelves re: CLIPS CLIPS CLIPS I don’t know how to tell you to buy this shelving and not buy this shelving at the same time. Once you’ve said every cuss word you know and are ready to jam this somewhere, you will come back to Amazon and quickly go to the reviews and find all the helpful information needed to dominate the CLIPS. If you were able to put the shelf together without a quick check at the reviews, that was a pure accident and no you are not a master shelf builder. The CLIPS are absolutely useless until you slide the shelf down onto them simultaneously-ish which telescopes the CLIP into the hole on the shelf. This forces the CLIP to make the connection on both sides that you were unable to make prior. This is now a permanent setting so make sure your shelves are even. It’s barely perceptible that the CLIPS are a bit narrow at the top and wider at the bottom until you place the shelving onto them, locking them in place and preventing the shelves from slipping. I like simple instructions, and was excited to see not a lot of words plus 1000 pieces, however they do need to be comprehensive and if there is a design flaw or magical CLIP Info, don’t make me come back to Amazon for tips and tricks cause I’ll just buy more stuff while I’m here. All that said, these shelves are really freaking awesome. Sturdy and attractive. Great price. Don’t overload it with your rock collection, use them in a manner according to the weight limit specs and buy additional units if needed. I would buy these again now that I know the CLIP SECRETS.
