Unless you're a public library, this bookshelf will hold up for years to come. Well built and attractive (though I could do without the big "Hon" metal label on the front which is okay for office use but not at home.) Fast, well-packaged shipping and very minimal assembly required!

I left a poor review for the seller, as the bookshelf was delivered pre-assembled with the bookshelves in place, but they came loose in transit and produced all kinds of scratches on the inside of the bookcase, and even small dents in the back; nothing the books themselves can't cover up though, save one tiny (fingerprint-sized) section where the paint flecked off on the outside. However, the bookshelf itself is great. The only reason is doesn't get 5 stars is because the clips used to hold the shelves in place are plastic; I'd prefer if they were metal to guarantee a longer lifespan. Nonetheless, the package states that each shelf can hold up to 180 pounds. It's very sturdy, yet not as heavy as you would expect from a solid metal bookshelf; I'm a 120 lb woman and I was able to maneuver it myself. Looks sharp and stands up easily after being packed to the gills with books.

Love it. I bought two and they are perfect for holding media, books, trinkets. Sturdy. The two I have are in my living room and are 1/2 media, 1/3 books, and has about 30 lbs of collectibles on top. I will buy more for my bedroom when I have the need. If you are sick of crappy particle board, IKEA projects, and low-quality merchandise, I highly recommend you spend the extra money for these beauties, because they are worth every penny.

The company called for details on delivery and brought it into my office for me. Great product, very sturdy and easy to adjust the shelves. It holds a good bit of stuff!

Great bookcase. Nice and sturdy. If you decide to assemble yourself be aware that it is pretty well assembled in the box and thus awkward to move. I had to take it up a flight of stairs myself and as a result caused slight damage to the product. My bad. Still the perfect bookcase for me. I have been using HON since college back in the 90s and they have pretty solid products.

Bookcase is good for light to medium-light duty. It's Hon so you expect, and get, good craftsmanship. But nothing extra, 4 plastic shelf support clips, no feet. Packaging leaves a lot to be desired, top and bottom cardboard, separate corner braces, wrapped in poor shrink wrap. First one came banged up and missing a support clip and had to be returned. The vendor, Shoplet, was helpful, but still a pain to rewrap properly and get to the UPS store. The replacement came almost immediately so I was able to repack using the new stuff at Shoplet's suggestion.

It's not fancy looking but it sure holds a lot of books and is plenty stable. I put the heavier books on the bottom. I got mine from Shoplet through Amazon marketplace and it was delivered quickly. Perfectly packed. Well cushioned caps top and bottom with each edge well cushioned. it was easy to unpack. Leaving the bottom cap on makes it easy to slide around and position on carpet to where you want to place it. Sure was nice not to have the hassle of putting together one of those short-lived particle board pieces of junk that I have been buying. Keep in mind that it's a little heavy and somewhat awkward to handle so you might need a little help placing it.
