We have the old ceramic toilet paper holder and they had rolls that were too big and made it hard to turn the paper. These have a small point that fits perfectly.

These are difficult to find for my ceramic paper holders. Universal size. Seem to be made rather flimsy so I hope they last longer than the last ones I bought elsewhere.
