There were some pieces that were dented, but my husband just did his best to face them to the wall. Regsrdless, it still earns 5 stars. I love that it's tall. The wood is a dark neutral, no orange. I have a bad back and was able to completely assemble this by myself. Once assembled it was super easy to slide into place due to the little feet. Everything fit together easily and there were no damaged pieces. Having assembled A LOT of furniture, I was VERY pleased with the quality control of all the parts. I love the “wood” material the shelves are made of and the adjustable feet. Everything about this was amazing and it is HUGE!!! My only complaints are that it doesn’t come in white and that the shelves can’t adjust up and down more. Once you screw them into place, they are stationary. I’d buy more if it came in white. I don’t feel like painting it. GREAT SHELF!!! ... show more

I was so worried about the size and how sturdy it was, but I was shocked! It's very sturdy, it went together easily without any issues and it's one of my favorite furniture purchases from Amazon. Everyone that comes to our house says it's beautiful and high quality. I put our microwave on a shelf, a basket of onions and a basket of potatoes at the bottom and the higher shelves are cookbooks and cute little decorations I've found at Hobby Lobby. Easy setup, solid and good looking unit (bought 2). Only issue is with the screws for the crossbar bars. They are to long and would, inevitably, destroy the wall. Customer service (very efficient and accommodating) said that the screws should be facing inward. In my opinion it is counter to the overall look and would actually get in the way of things on the shelves. The actual solution should be to replace those with a 14mm screw (which was what I did - easy find on Amazon). This is Ling enough to secure the brackets and short enough to protect the wall and the low of the book case. Customer service was exceptional. ... show more

16JUL24 - Purchased two sets of these HOMISSUE 7-tier double wide bookshelves to go into my TV room and they flank a window in the middle perfectly. Be aware that, when shipped, the boxes are heavy coming in at about 80+ pounds. There were two delivery men that hauled the boxes up my five stairs to leave near the front door. God bless those men! Once the boxes were brought inside, I laid them flat on the floor and opened the boxes that way. It was easier to pull out the shelves, supporting bars and the various nuts and screws. It took me a couple of hours just to put one unit together and it was -- interesting -- to get the shelving unit upright to position in place. I did all the work myself and I'm a 73-year old woman. Did one unit one day, rested, and put the second unit together two days later. My recommendation is to get help if you can. I love putting things together but when they get really heavy, I have to stop and consider which way is the best and safest way to get these units upright. Oh, and I "walked" them into position. Not hard, but heavy!!! Am very happy with the shelving units which will be used for my DVD collection, books and a few miscellaneous trinkets. I highly recommend these shelves for their strength, the great looks, and the durability. These shelves will outlast me. And I also highly recommend the seller, too! Deep shelves with the ability to make some modest adjustments in spacing of a couple shelves. Follow the instructions and keep the various screw sizes separated.
